Meguiars #16 Pro Paste Wax beading

Great to hear so many people discovering/REdiscovering #16.

George Wax- Thanks for that info about #16 holding up under the AZ sun, I'd always wondered about that. It always seemed to hold up better on black cars than its smell led me to expect.

blkZ28Conv- I always wait a day (or even until the next wash) to apply subsequent layers of #16. It DOES seem to layer in that adding a second coat a week later seems to give more than an extra week's worth of beading/looks/other indicators. It's not like you're ONLY replenishing whatever got lost in that week, if you know what I mean. Or at least that's the impression it gave me.

Dave Holmes- Using #16 as a topper on white sounds like JUST the application for it :xyxthumbs And I've never noticed any real issues with humid conditions, not that I'm in YOUR situation. #16 is NOT one of those finicky waxes that "sometimes just won't set up".

Scottwax,

Would love to hear your take on a comparison between #16, and Natty's wax.............. application/removal......... looks.......... durability?

Having been a user of #16 many years ago too, I thought the "look" of the Natty's wax reminded me of something........... now I think I know what it is.

I would agree that Natty Wax and #16 have a similar look, as in very wet. Natty Wax is not nearly as hard though.

The combination of PwC, EX and #16 made it through a good 2 months on my car with 3 trips though the local gas station touch free wash and it was still beading nicely when I tried another combination. #16? Don't know yet but others say it is very durable for a carnauba.
