Comprehensive Opti-Coat 2.0 Application Guide

What is the difference between this product and the Opti-Glass? I purchased and used the OG just the other day. So far it works great. I'm spoiled by the factory glass coating on my other Lexus models.

Optimum doesn't recommend applying Opti-Coat to the glass, specifically the windshield. I would guess for legal reasons because it is such a thick coating, I could see it altering your vision slightly.

After doing some research, it looks like users that have ignored Optimums warning are only getting about 6 months out of Opti Coat on the glass. Opti-Glass was specifically formulated to bond with glass (as opposed to paint) and users look to be getting 1 year of protection on the glass.

Thank you!

What happens if you put the TP&S, and Crystal Seal on top of it? For a car do you recommend the OC for the higher impact areas, like the bumper, mirrors, rockers, behind wheels and Blackfire products elsewhere?

Thanks

TP&S would not be recommended since it's an abrasive. So it would begin to remove the OC. Crystal Seal wouldn't bond to OC so you'd just be wasting product. A super durable coating like OC is perfect for high impact areas. If you want to be extra safe, apply a clear bra first then OC on top of it.
