I'm interviewing down with the LVPD in their CSI department at the end of October. It isn't really much of an increase in pay from what I'm making now, but my house has almost doubled in value since I bought it, so I anticipate being able to sell it and pay off my vehicles and student loans and only leave me with a mortgage as far as debt. That would actually make the move worth it and enable me to afford a small cost of living difference. So what I'm just wondering is what people know about the housing market in Vegas and if there is a particular area that is better to live than another if one had to commute to the police station every day.
On a side note, to be an actual Las Vegas CSI would be probably about the coolest thing I've ever done. lol Just to be able to tell friends back east and down in Texas what I'm doing for a living now would be worth the headache of moving. Not to mention that it is what I went to school to do essentially, so it fullfils that purpose too. What better use of an obsessive compulsive detailer with a criminal justice and legal research background? lol
