Project: Restore 1997 Acura Flamenco Black Pearl *56k wait a leap year

Wow. Looks incredible. Love the blue pearl in that color. You've got it debadged so I can't tell -- is it the 2.3 or the 3.0? Any interior pics? Awesome car; I'm an Acura fan myself.

Thanks again everyone for your kind words, and Merry Christmas!

It's a 3.0 v6, which is a double edged sword, since it means there's more power, but it also is equipped with the auto tranny which is notorious for failure. So I'm trying to baby it as much as possible since it does tend to slip every now and then : /

Devils : so sorry to hear about your wife's loss..but wow, an m3, I'm jealous haha

Happy Holidays everyone :)

Hey man, what size and brand/model wheels are those?

Sup bro, they're Taneisya Wiser mesh rims from japan circa the early 90's. 3 piece with forged barrels. Taneisya now makes luxury style and formula 1 race wheels, but I got these from a friend who used to have them on his accord. Pretty rare rims to come accross. I paid a pretty penny for them, but to my knowledge I have the only 18" set in the U.S. with stepped barrels, gold rivets and full polished faces.

Here's a set of 16's for reference:

16" 4.5x114.3 JDM Wiser Wheels - Winnipeg Cars & Vehicles - Kijiji Winnipeg

They're 18x8 up front and 18x9 out back, low 30's offset. Since detailing I've actually rolled and slightly pulled the rear fenders and put on 20mm spacers out back and the fitment is pretty ridiculous (not really for everyone) but I like the 'vip style' stance.

Peace!

Man, that is freaking amazing. The car looks spectacular, it all flows together nicely and looks really clean. I had mesh style wheels on my '93 Integra RS 5spd before I got my '97 CL 2.2 5spd. How much would you say that it's lowered and what springs/shocks and other suspension bits are you using?

Thanks again bruh, really appreciated. It's lowered approximately 3 inches up front and 3.5 inches out back on D2 coilovers with custom spring rates. I used to have the front lowered another half inch but it would scrape the front fender badly when I was making hard turns, so I had to raise it back up. lol

Any pics of your 97 man?

Yeah, here's some pix and a few of my old car. Plus a couple pix of my bike before and after it's most recent bunch of mods were completed.
