Need help with Duragloss order

OK...I just received my order. I got #601,105,671,AW and Fast clean.
A couple questions....
Since I don't have a PC(yet), how do I properly use the 671 to get out swirls? Do I use a MF applicator or foam pad? How to long do I rub it in?

When I buff the stuff off...do I do it in straight lines also?

Last question(for now)....should I put a light mist of water on the car when using the AW?
A polish that is designed to be used with a machine will not work well by hand. You can not rub fast enough to break down the abrasives in it. Either use a PC or pickup a polish that is designed to work by hand. Two things wrong with doing it by hand one is you won't get nearly as good of a finish but you will develop tennis elbow before you rub out all the scratches.
I would wait until I had a PC if you try to do it by hand you will give up before you get it done. Even with a PC it will take a lot of time to really make it look good. You can get the stuff that you need in just a few days.
I know that the PC and pads looks like a lot of money but the PC will last for years and with proper care you will get a lot of use out of the pads.
You should not need to use the PC more than once or twice a year. Once you have the car swirl free then focus on proper washing technique to keep it looking good instead of constantly removing the scratches.
AW is to be used after a wash. Rinse the car and while still wet spray the AW on. You can put it on a dry car with excellent results just spread it thin. You can cut it with water if you want add 40 percent water and see if you like the results. I prefer to use it full strength and spread it thin.

x2 spread it thin on a dry car. I took the $20 something gamble on the blower. I will post a mini review here.

When you use it after a wash blow the water out of the places that always want to drip after you have wiped it Then blow dry the rest of the car. The high velocity of the air will blow nearly all the water off in fact if you run it for awhile it will completely dry the car but i blow the water off except for some tiny little beads that are kinda hard to dry. I use a WW Towel and just blot the rest of the water. I try to never actually wipe on the surface of my Black cars. I'm surprised at the interest in this blower i assumed that nearly everyone was already using one of some kind or another. IMHO it is much better to keep from making the swirls than to keep removing them.
These little blowers are great for drying the wheels and all those places where you can't get your hand or a towel into.

The 671 polish was designed for hand use..but will work with a PC also....they designed their products to be used by hand ..they say the Average home car care person does not own power tools to do the paint finish...the abrasives in 671 are sorta micro abrasives....

so doing your polishing by hand will be fine...but your arms will be sore..lol...use a foam appicator or a terry one....that is what they suggest...Microfiber ones sorta cake up and lay flat..and absorb alot of product......

have fun and take your time..you will not get it 100%..but you should see an improvement

I have not used the 671 polish but if they told you it will work on both hand or machine then I Doubt that I will try it because I have not been impressed with those type of polishes. If they work good by hand they dry too fast by machine. IMO a polish is good for one or the other not both. I have never seen one that was excellent for both. I view Polishing by hand like digging a ditch with a shovel. Why do it that is what machines are made for.

Well I guess I'll try the 671 by hand on my winter car to see if it works without a machine. I'm gonna order a PC...just not sure if it's gonna be days or weeks til I order it.
I DID order the blower though...it'll be here Thursday.

For a while I was using my pancake compressor till I got some rusty water sprayed out of it. I was in the mrket for a blower. At 10.95 it seemed to good to be true. As long as it works and lasts a few times.
