I was at wally world the other day an on the end cap of the Car stuff aisle there was a ton of clearance sale stuff! Mosty car care, I saw this bottle of TIRE WET only because of its VERRY VERRRRY cheap price $1.50! I thought I would try some just for kicks:) It went on like oil, not like the Z16 that I am use to, real thick and slick. I DO NOT plan to use it on my cars but I may on others that want that Real Glossy look. Here is the pic.. Z16 on the left and that junk on the right> I put it on and buffed it off just like I do my Z16

not bad, but you're right its real 'slick' looking......

have you seen the ones by them with the metallic tint colors?? I have seen them at murray's in red, blue, and green....... quite cheezy if you ask me

You mean you haven't seen the tire dressing that is rainbow in color - no kidding. It must be a recent offering because initially I had only seen the colors that you mentioned. But now there is actually rainbow tire dressing.

And hold onto your seat, because last night at the local AutoZone they now have a spray that you can spray right onto your car that has a colored metallic tint to match the tire tint. I had to read the can twice to be sure I was reading correctly. I chuckled to myself as I put it down and walked away.

What will they think of next. :scared

I definitely prefer the Z16 wheel in your shot. It's much more natural, and the shine isn't obnoxious. Those wheels look great too!

no offense to any we may have on the boards, but I think the rainbow dressing is to appease the "gay pride/rights activist" community. :p

I saw this same stuff at Wal-Mart. I laughed when I saw it, too. Who the hell would buy that stuff?!

No contest at all. The Z-16 looks a million times better than that other oily looking stuff. No question at all. Laters

Drive the car for 2 days and that cheap stuff will be coating your wheelwell. I found that evenwith the buffing those cheap wet dressings don't stay on the tire too long.

No question, "disco shine" is making a comeback. With tinted sparkles, no less!

The Z16 look is as shiny as I want my tires to be, thankyouverymuch.

I use the Tire Wet stuff because I cant find anything else that is commonly sold is stores. Can you guys give me a few suggestions, as we all know, Zaino isn't sold in any stores around here.

Does anyone know the exact name of the stuff detailking likes, possibly I could find that.

Depending on the price, I'll pick up two or three of them, if I don't like them I can hand them out. You make it sound like their awesome and I can't find anything decent out there unless I mail order so maybe it'll be the next standard item in my bookcase of products.

People I work with would love the "wet" stuff.

One girl just announced she's going out to get some Turtle Wax for her 2001 Grand Am for a good "spring clean" and wax this weekend.

I said, "why would you get Turtle Wax?"

[She and a couple others] "What's wrong with Turtle Wax?"

I stopped it right there before I got into trouble.

Do I really care if the "non-believers" can't "see the light"

They think Blitz is a fictitious name. LOL

Everyone ask me what I use, I just start shooting off the soap, clay bars, the polish, the klasse glaze, the waxes, the meguiars glaze, the quick detailer.... I let them know if they really want to do up their car I can help them but most of them don't even want to spend more than a half hour once or twice in the summer on their car.

I remember the days when I would wax a friends car after going to the spray bay with any wax I could get my hands on, they all thought I was the master detailer, only if they have a faint idea of what I do to cars now....

I'm still single with time to detail.

Sure, I'll help people out until they start thinking I'm nutso for washing and waxing my vehicles all the time. LOL.

Lots of people ask me why I take care of my lease truck so well and why I bother waxing it at all.

Instead of kids, I have a 1 acre yard with a bunch of junk trees that "kill" me, but I always make time to detail.

I still can't get away from the carnaubas. I simply enjoy the look.

I don't really know how to post a picture of my 'Bird, but it looks nice for 9-yr-old paint.

Have a good weekend, everyone.

joed,

Bliss Marine in Woburn has 303 and Vinylex, Targets in Woburn has the TW tire gel and tire wax and the Autozone in Cambridge has the Eagle one tire dressing and protectant. In case you are interested.

Home Run Hero, many many here also like the look of a good carnauba. It looks especially nice on darker colors. Laters

I used to use Meguires Tire Gel, I like it alot and still think its a very good product. I now use Z-16, lasts longer and no sling:)
