You know how on a bottle of Carnauba Moose, it says....

...expect 6 months protection?

I'm beginning to think Mr. Glass is serious about it!

A Civic I waxed with VM/CMW on July 11th was still beading nicely when I rewaxed it (VM/NXT) on January 20th (6 months!) and a Volvo C40 I waxed using VM/CMW on July 28th was beading still when I detailed it again on Monday (March 1st) which is 7 months. Frankly, I was stunned since I know the owner of the Civic washed is probably twice a month and the Volvo once or twice a month (I asked). Beading is not always an indicator of protection, but both cars are a couple of years old, still looked real good after I washed them and both had some slickness left. The owner of the Civic is semi-retired (teaches 3 days a week at a community college) and normally has me wax his cars every 3 months, but was travelling a lot in the fall and over the holidays. The owner of the Volvo is a professional woman with 2 young kids (so much fun cleaning the crushed crayons on the leather seats). Neither had waxed their cars since I had last done it and obviously, neither vehicle is a garage queen either.

True, we get no acid rain or industrial fallout around here but I am still impressed with the results. Nearly 4 months of beading on a tan Lexus LS400 also...and the build date on the car is 9/94! Definitely not beading because the paint is new. Rewaxing with CCC/NXT made it look better, but not dramatically so the 'look' seems pretty durable as well.

Anyone else have a similar experience with CMW or maybe another product that has suprised you with better durability than you thought?

Scott,

That is unreal! :xyxthumbs 6 months is a long time for a carnauba to protect paint.

How does CMW, (looks wise), compare to NXT, S100/P21S, or #16 on lighter colors such as silver?

Do yo have any pics of the above?

Cheers,

Carnauba Moose has a very liquid look.

Here we go again ... I hear people jumping off the NXT bandwagon.:LOLOL

:nixweiss I've been using Carnauba Moose since last summer and so have some others here. We all get to trying new stuff and forget about what we were using. Today, I used Vanilla Moose and Poorboy's EX on a green Mercedes C280. I had almost forgotten how liquid that combo looks. I still use S100 too.

I know you use lots of products with great success. I use lots of products with a less success.

I'm just saying that if CMW has that kind of durability it certainly will appeal to the same folks who use NXT.

Heck with that kind of durability ... it's enough to get me to jump of the S100 bandwagon:D
