I would bet that this has been asked a few million times, But In my quick search I did not find what I was looking for.

So where did all you guys & gals buy your PC 7424 from and if you don't mind, How much?

I currently have a rotory buffer, but it's big and clumsy and I'd like to upgrade.

I have seen the prices from 114 to 189.

But I'm a little skeptical about getting one too cheap, some place reman them and don't say then I'm stuck.

Please toss me a bone on this :help:

thanks for the help.

Try lowes..they usually offer decent prices..on the other hand if you have problem with it you can bring it back..

On lowes' site they list this one: Item #: 51472 Model: 7336SP I take it this is not the 7424, right?

get it, it's the same machine (different counterweights between the two, not a problem)....

same thing, peice for peice, only the 7336 sp comes with a sading backing plate and a samle of 120 grit paper, and a counterweight, which really only helps for sanding . . .

Bbaasso - you have a type r or geezer

also regarding your second ?, the 7424 or the 7336 is fine, both are identical except for the counterweight 7424 5" and 7336 6" if im not mistake..again either one is fine and you'll find no difference so you cant go wrong with either....

also another place i found if you dont mind reconditoned tools and it being shipped is PC Recon.

or do a search for Meguiars "G100"

I have an 01 Type R.

Thanks for the input guys, I had no clue.

I guess I'll pick one up in the near future, But first I have to pay for the $115 parking ticket I got today

I got mine from Coastal tool for 119. This includes the 6" bp and an additional 6" counter weight. shipped crazy fast (NYC). IMO the PC is the cheapest part of the deal, pads, product, towels, and time are going to cost a whole lot more.

Lowe's has several prices for the same PC.

You can go online and get the ad for it in Boston which is 109.

Print it and raise hell with your local Lowe's and they will eventually match it.

Thats what I did

Mike

I have a Dewalt 443, but it is in the shop (covered by warranty). I will be without it for over a week at least.

I happen to be at the local Lowes and found a display 7336 for $60 :getdown . All warranty ect intact. You can do the same.

hey what's up basso, I always see you posting on honda-tech. I'm itr514 (black 01')on there. @ just recently picked one up from meguiar's. they relabel it g100 and it is a litte pricey at 150, but it comes with a lifetime warranty and you can't beat that. though it sounds like you're strappped for cash (the R takes it all haha) so I guess that might be the way u want to go. anyways, g'luck!

:bigups

Hey! Welcome to the forum..

R, no longer takes money, Stored away for a while.

Also no longer on that site, I'm on itrca.com

Thanks for the tip, I'll check out the G100. It might be worth it for warranty, if Lowes does not offer one.

how come the r is stored? or is it just for the winter? I'm dd mine, wish I could make it a garage queen. how come you switched over to itrca.com?

anyways. g'luck with getting the PC. I've done a couple cars now and I love it! hope you get some great results with the r

R is stored because it's mainly track only, I could DD but the spring rates :O As for the switch, banned is one reason- personal squable with a mod there- itrca is way way cooler.

Ive been using the same buffer for a really long time, I did the R a while back before I stuffed it in the garage- It's spotless... For a track car

Getting the PC would only help me out, the little business I have is steady. But for winter time I'll be happy with what I have.
