Where can i find collinite insulator wax?

With the cost of gas, vehicle wear/tear, and your time, it might be more cost effective to buy it online. That said boat shops are a good shot, and try searching for some other threads using insulator wax, IW*, or 845, this comes up often.

Gas is relatively cheap, although rising again. I'm on school vacation and cannot find a part job, so i have plenty of time to waste lol.

But i guess what youre saying is there are no stores around my area that sells it =(

Thanks though

Not sure if you have a Harbor Freight, but I bought mine there for $9 on clearance.

I checked their website and all their locations are too far west of me. I like to drive so maybe i'll take a drive. Thanks

Welcome!

Allied Technology Warehouse in Melrose, MA has it. They are a little pricey, but have all the Collinite in stock for pick-up.

Yup, a little more expensive but to be able to have it in your hand that day is nice. Personally, Id go for the 476s. Great stuff!

Sometimes you can find it at a boat store, if you have trouble though give us a call we can get some out to you asap.

According to a guy at my local Harbor Freight, once they're out of Collinite, they're not going to re-stock it. My store's out of it.

Finishmaster auto body carries Collinite Insulator Wax. they are at

83 Allerton St.

Boston , MA

(617)445-5800

I have a layer of Collinite over Megs #21 on my Mustang. I last detailed it the end of October, and gave her a final wash before putting her away for winter the 1st week of December ( the day it was 63 degrees! :D )

It still beads water like crazy.

^ i was thinking of ordering off of websites but they would freeze when the delivery man puts them outside. Gonna be single digits the next couple days!!! AHH

BM, there's a marine supply store about 1 mile off I93...prolly not too far from S Boston area. They had a few of the marine-labeled Collinite products. This was a few years ago when I was searching for 476S.

FWIW, I got a nice fresh tin of the 885 (476S) on eBay for $15 delivered from an auto parts guy in OH. Very quick, too.

The 885 AKA 476S is supposed to offer superior durability compared to the IW. It definitely looks better.

Enjoy.
