What will be NEW for you in 2004?

I still haven't found good help other than my kids. Good thing is my younger son really brought up his grades so no summer school this year. He is ready and willing to help the entire time he is here. Both he and his older brother have become very good detailers. I may have no choice but to hire someone soon though. I have been absolutely buried this month. Lots of pent of detailing need from the rain in November.

Never got around to the windshield repair. One of these days though. Maybe carpet dying and vinyl/leather repair too. It is just finding time to learn how to do everything.

BTW, those of you with employees, how do you handle pay when you have a really bad month due to weather?

Scott,

I pay my one employee a small salary so if it rains for several days they are making a little something.

I am able to do this based on my "contract" clients which pay me a set amount of money each month.

Thanks, Anthony! I have only one customer who pays in advance though. He is a doctor and he doesn't want me to have to wait on him to finish with a patient to get paid...now if he would only remember to leave his keys with his nurse so I don't have to wait on him to finish with a patient so I can get started! Oh well, that is the way it has been since I started doing his cars in 1995, I guess it isn't going to change! :lol
