what to use on rims with clear

i got racing hart rims and they are silver with a clear coat on them what can i use to make them really shine i think they are polished under the clear.

I favor sealant type products as they will hold up with heat a little better. More importantly, I wash my rims frequently so nothing really builds up.

Whatever wax/sealant that you're using on your paint will work nicely on your clearcoated wheels...

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. KSG, UPP, and BF are currently on the silver paint/clear wheels on our vehicles (KSG lasts longest, the others look better to me). I've actually had OK results with some carnaubas too, the heat from street driving doesn't seem to cause any problems. Wouldn't rely on it for track days though.

And don't forget to hit the ENTIRE wheel with whatever you use. That means the inside/back side. Wait until you get your tires mounted on them, though - that might be a bit of a dirty/messy process.

I'm currently running a bit of an experiment with AIO+SG on one front wheel and NXT paste on one rear wheel with the other opposing wheels unprotected. So far it appears that the AIO+SG is making a huge difference. The rears don't get particularly dirty to begin with, so that's a longer-term test :) I always make sure to ESPECIALLY hit my European car customers with AIO+SG because they tend to dust so bad (high graphite content of pads?).

Accumulator - you COULD always layer up coats of SG to achieve better look/depth/gloss, couldn't you? I would that that, for the wheels, the longer-lasting the product, the better...

I'm having nice luck on my silver Ro_Ja rims with Klasse AIO and Poorboy's Wheel Sealant x 2. The combo resists brake dust and if it ends up sticking, washes away very easily with car wash soap and a mitt.

Yeah, doing the back sides makes for much easier clean up. Even the spots you can't get to with the wheels mounted will clean up pretty well when you pull them off if you have enough protection on there.

I stop at four-six layers of KSG, with the exact number depending on the vehicle and how much time/effort I feel like spending. While it does always look better to me after about four layers, I just like the UPP/BF look better..silver wheels, silver vehicles, I use KSG for the durability and protection, not for looks. Just a personal preference. But I will admit that the KSG looks good on the MPV's wheels, compliments the silver paint (also KSG) on that vehicle very nicely. And I even like how it looks on Accumulatorette's A8's "machined finish" summer wheels. But for the other wheel applications I have a different look in mind. Part of it is probably wanting the wheels to compliment the paint on the rest of the vehicle, sorta the flip-side of what I like on the MPV.

Second that. AIO/PBWS*?? (I like the smell and you use so little I just keep adding layers) on my TL cleared rims.

It does repel brake dust much better than what I used to use (AIO/EX-P*2) And for the skeptics, sorry, no pics as I just didn't think of it at the time.

For washes, I just use soap and water and MF gloves to clean the rims. In between washes, an older MF towel and some S&W.
