What would you guys suggest for my black/silver truck ( Ford 03 Harley Davidson Supercrew). My truck will be a daily driver and will be outside 24/7. This will be my first wash and detail on my truck. I know clay bar is a good idea which would you suggest as a polish/sealant, wax QD for a two tone vehicle. I have read what to use on silver and I have read what to use on black. Should I use products from different companies or go with one system. I have ask some guys from a different boards I have some ideas just wanted all info before I make a choice of products. I know everyone has different opinions on which is best etc.. any suggestions. I want a wet yet reflective look if possible since it getting colder something that will last for a while. I don't know if that is enough info I hope this helps. Thanks in advance

You are going to get 100 different answers...here is mine.

I would use Poorboy's EX sealant with carnuba followed by a coat of P21S or poorboy's Natty paste wax.

I'd probably go with Meguiars Swirl Free Polish #82 (if necessary) then Clearkote's Vanilla Moose and top with either Poorboy's EX (sealant with carnauba) or Carnauba Moose wax. If you want some more 'pop' on the silver, you can top with S100 Paste Wax instead of Carnauba Moose or EX.

I've used both BLACKFIRE polish and sealant and Meguiar's DACP followed by Medallion Premimun Paint Protection on my black 2003 Dodge Hemi. Both systems gave good results. I think that the BLACKFIRE might give a deeper gloss.

Make sure the surface is ready for whatever you use. I don't think that you can beat Meguiar's DACP for surface preparation. I had a problem with water spots on the hood and used three applications of DACP to get them out.

I prefer not to mix systems and I don't really see the value of layering a carnauba over the sealant on a daily driver. Might as well put on another coat of sealant to give the vehicle more protection.

If you don't already have a Porter Cable dual action polisher, buy one. It makes the job a whole lot easier reagardless of the product you use.
