What a perfect winter day!

After several days in the low 40s to around 50, it finally warmed up today, hitting 74 degrees with low winds and lots of sunshine. It hadn't rained in more than a week, so my morning regular's cars were still pretty clean, so that job went quicker than usual. I had a 2003 BMWm 745Li in the afternoon to do, normally I plan out about 5 hours for one since they are pretty big, lots of leather, etc. I get there and the car was in excellent shape. No spills, very little debris on the mats and the paint was excellent! Just some light imbedded grit on the top of the rear bumper and very light tar on the rocker panels on the passenger side. Knocked it out in just under 4 hours and got a nice tip too!

Why can't every day be like that! :nixweiss

Oh well, I'll be earning my money this weekend, temps falling into the 40s by Saturday afternoon and lows in the mid 20s and highs in the mid 40s on Sunday. Ugh. 2 more months of winter, too. At least today was beautiful! :)

Yes, it was a perfect winter day here in New Jersey too. Since it was my first time out this season and it was at night, I just went up and down my own street about five or six times. That distance is probably equal to about one half mile. I have had my cross country skis for more than twenty years and I usually like to get out there before the plows come thru and mess everything up. I usually go around our entire community, which is distance of about two miles. Like most kids, I like playing in the snow. Hey, spring will be here soon enough. P.S. - Of course those skis got a couple of coats of carnauba wax before I hit the streets.

Frank-if it was 2 days until spring, it wouldn't be soon enough for me! I hate winter more and more every year, probably because the last 5 have been so wet.

Au contraire....I cannot stand summer, i hate heat, UV's, stagnant days. Love the winter, spring and fall..... 2 weeks ago we had record snow and rain, early this week was mid 80's, the sun is low, and you can feel the rays just baking your skin. I need to move to a area that has seasons.......When youve been in Calif. all your life, you have a desire to see what "seasons" are.......

I don't know Patrick...a winter here in the northeast might send you screaming and running back to SoCal!

I love the winter, don't get me wrong... but right now I'd love to see those temps of 40 (or even 30 for that matter). The weather has been pretty cold lately (even for New England) with no end in sight...

Utah is just around the corner you know. We have all four seasons here.

Here in New Jersey, I just love seeing all those dirty cars this time of year. It makes me smile, especially since I know that I will have plenty of work once spring gets here. For now, we're getting ready for at least 10 more inches of snow this weekend. I better give those skis another coat of carnauba wax.

I'm with you there, 40 would be a treat. We'll be lucky to see 20 today.

You people with anything over 50 is making me jealous. Today is about 18 degrees. saturday is suppose to be about 15 with 6 to 8 inches of snow. It's been in the teens and single digits for about a week now in Erie, PA. More bad news for me I work maintenance for a school dist and we had a water main break tuesday and it was about 5 degrees out that night. I'm still recovering from wind burn on my face. Thank god we had to sub that out I didn't want to go down in that hole pipe was 15 feet deep.

I can't wait for spring and I can start detailing cars again. I'm getting tired of plowing snow. It seems kind of ironic that I clean them in the summer and the plow truck gets trashed inthe winter even if I cleaned it everyday.

Erie only has 2 seasons spring and winter. seems like winter lasts for 6 months some times.

I can work year 'round and I prefer not to have crappy weather get the cars dirty, takes more time to clean them. Dust, pollen, sprinklers, sap, bird bombs are enough to dirty the cars as it is. ;)

Seriously, you'd be amazed at how clean some of the vehicles I wash regularly are if it doesn't rain that week and they still want them cleaned spotless. :xyxthumbs
