Turtle Wax Product reviews and a C&B on a 2001 4-Runner.

The foam did work well on some bug guts, but probably not as well as a dedicated bug remover.

thanks. i just thought that since it was a foam that it might be able to stick long enough to soften the bugs. i think i might try it anyways though. itching to try new products (sad) and if it even get half of the bugs off then i'll be happy since that will be half less that i don't have to sit there and scrub.

They saw my writeups on ts.com and told me that they would send me some products if I would write a review, good or bad.

Did they change the MF towels? I bought some TW towels 2-3 years ago and though they're reasonably plush, they shed like crazy. Tiny particles of MF lint.

I use Target towels for most chores and Danase and CMA for wax removal.

Yes I'm interested in the MF's as well

I can vouch for these MF's, I've been using them for about 4 years and they are really great. Never had linting problems, and they work well to remove wax and polish.

Thanks for the reviews... I suspected the liquid clay would do what you said it did... its more of a cleaner wax than a 'claybar' I think they named it more for marketing purposes to set it apart from the crowd. If it was just TW ICE Liquid Cleaner Wax/Polish no one would even be talking about it.

Here is a 1-2 Week old Turtle Wax ICE application:

Very nice beading :) The Buick looks like it does have protection on it... Are you sure there wasn't a dealer prep or something?

I have been using TW Platinum products for some time now and I have been very happy. Their Platinum car wash is very nice and leaves the car slick after a wash. Their interior protectant leaves a nice matte shine to the plastic bits. Their tire dressing is very shiny (wish it were a little less shiny). Their leather cleaner/conditioner is very effective at cleaning and wipes off easily without leaving a oily residue. And the best part of their products is that I can find them at odd lots for usually about $3 per bottle. I have some FK products, collinite waxes, vroom MF's, cobra MF's, and I think Turtle wax products have earned their place in my detailing regimen.

good review, for the price i will never buy them but good write up. i do have a question though, why would a large corporation like tw send you those for free? did you contact them requesting samples?

might be but its pretty weak as i would expect fro ma dealer, i'm ordering a PC tonight or tomarrow :woot:

I won't use anything on wheels other then TW Liquid Ice polish. Easy to use once you understand how it works, quick, and the shine is great! Cheap as well!
