Todays wash story...

twist- If you want to be an optimist, consider that oxidation/rusting pretty much stops a very low temps. If it's *that* cold, maybe things aren't getting worse by the minute :nixweiss

Again, be careful with the claying so you don't mar the paint and open a whole new can of worms in the middle of winter ;)

thanks accumulator, good info. Right now in MI, it's about 5 degrees, so hopefully will get a day of 35 or above. I'd like to get a wash in, clay and also like you said a fresh coat of collinite on. I'm just praying for a warmer day:) thanks

Twist, you are waiting for a warm day of 35 degrees, you DA Man! I did 1 tire on my truck at that temperature and darn near froze !

Absolute best of luck .:xyxthumbs

Twist, I just had a thought. If you have a local gas station that you deal with maybe they would let you use one of the bays after hours . You might have to stay up a little late, or maybe be a little late for work in the morning. However they will have the heat on all night and it won't be kept at 35 degrees. Good luck.

accumulator do you have any tips to using the sonus gray clay? I know you have used it, and just wondering a few tips on how not to marr the paint:) thanks

Twist I am no expert but I would think at the temperatures you are experiencing that clay would be more like a "rock"! I wouldn't do it unless you can get the vehicle inside like I suggested. You could put the clay down by the heater or inside your shirt (wrapped in a paper towel) to get it warmed up.

How not to mar paint with the current version of Sonus gray: Don't use it ;)

There's a thread titled something like "Sonus clay causing major scratches" that you oughta check out, I gave a detailed explanation there.

Maybe others can clay with it and not get marring, but I (and some other people whose abilities I respect) can't.
