something that i had done for me....input, change this and that and make this that....

this is for hanging up when i do use my 12x12 tent.....

Untitled-1copynew.jpg

something that I noticed is have "Mobile Auto Detailing" bigger about the size of the E in Envious

the background is going to be black, so any color changes?

i would either fade out that back graphic a lot more, or remove it completely, only because it makes it hard to read the text with that style font.

i would stick with the font, remove the back graphic, and not put the text and such a severe curve.

also, make sure to have your number bigger. the first things you want potential customers to see is your name and the best way to contact you.

but its looking good.

thats my two cents.

What process are you using? screen print or die cut vinyl? I would loose the background and the shape of your name. is your avatar your logo? if so you need to use that. you dont want to break away from your branding. And pick a font thats easier to read. All people want to know is what your doing so Mobile detailing needs to be the first thing they see. At that point if there at all interested they will look for your name and info. HTH

What about removing the cover of your tent and having the letters ironed on? Haha I don't know if that actually works but I've thought about doing it on mine.

the background is a water mark from the guy doing it....i know it makes it kinda hard to tell....

going to order later this week most likely....keep the comments coming

Ditto on making it easier to read. The "mobile auto detailing" is like the subtitle of a book, and should be right below the name IMO, with the other line moved to the bottom. But personally I don't care for that line anyway. I understand it's meaning, but it just doesn't really flow to me. I think that line should be more of a mission statement, something that conveys to potential customers your focus or what sets you apart from the rest.

What was the point in blocking out the URL on the logo? It's fairly obvious what it is from the name of the outfit...

ah ok. Just struck me as odd is all :)

Having looked at the "hidden" website tho, there's a bit of incorrect info in the part about chrome polishing. Chrome isn't sanded off, it's removed the same way it's put on: electro plating but with the +/-reversed.

And if rust is present on the surface of chrome, the plating has already failed.

honest advice?

I don't like it, looks like someone spent 30 seconds in Photoshop so that they could make a huge profit per hour.

I would look for a better sign designer...

One thing that is a make or break for me and signs, is, Are they professional? to me, squished text (which has been a part of microsoft word since it's beginning, so why pay for someone to do that?) and glowing letters, (2 clicks in photoshop, he didn't even change the color). are the standard that everyone does it it just looks unprofessional.

If you want my suggestions, don't bend the text. make it a clean and attractive sign. Use fonts that are easy to read (there have been studies stating which).

I guess an easy way to answer should you accept that one, is how much is he paying you? an arm and a leg, you should get better, 25 bucks, sure, go ahead and get that one, just make him streighten out the text. :)

take my comments with a grain of salt please :D.

all input is appreciated...as well as taken into consideration....the guy who is designing it is taking forever....we have been talking for about 1 month now....too long, said he has problems with servers and what not...i dont know though, sucks not being about to design something on a computer file like others....

Get a new guy, he isn't worth your time..

This is what I would look for...

1) it's clean.. I would actually prefer to get rid of the "mobile auto detailing" because you've already said that in "envious detailing" and the fact that you will be cleaning a car under it in a tent. I would bring the website and such up, and make it less tall.

2) it will cost you a heck of a lot less in printing... what you have now, is multi-color, and a gradient, (can printers even do gradiants?)

Took about 3 seconds in photoshop... I would call you if I saw this sign. I wouldn't if I saw the other one.

i have the same feeling about the mobile detailing...most people would be seeing me detailing a car under a tent, so they would know what detailing is....I think that on a car advertisement its a different story though, but then again, some know and some dont

i think that I am going to try and come up with something else....I asked the guy who did my website if he does stuff like banners and what not too, so hopefully I will have something new

as a hobbyist detailer but a professional art director/designer i feel somewhat qualified to give you an opinion. i really don't like that banner at all. the embossed text on the bottom makes the type hard to read and the font is already bad enough as it is. if you're screenprinting that banner then the white "glow" behind your logo is not going to look good. besides, it doesn't seem like you're using your logo. one of the things you should do is be consistent with your signage in regards to your logo usage.
