The truth now! Best scratch/cover wax...

Who really makes the "Best" scratch cover/filler/remover wax, polish or sealer? The best I ever found was Turtle wax scratch and swirl remover and it just did a fair but better job than some of the others I have tried. Mothers did a close second on my black Suburban a few years back but I haven't found anything that really works as good as some would like us to believe. Any of you found something that really works? Mike

Chemical guys Laserbuff is my personal fav. right now... swirl remover/filler....

If you're talking about a cleaner wax, Mother's is awesome, and so is Moose wax.

Hey, don't leave out the new Swirlbuster polish, esp with the SB pad! Long-lasting acrylic fillers and polish all in one. DavidB says the acrylics are good enough to serve as an LSP, but most will want to top it. I have just one layer on so far, plan on doing at least 2 more, but my car's been beading pretty well in the rain over the last couple of days.

By machine, Swirlbuster or Menzerna. By hand, Scratch-X for isolated scratches/scuffs, or ZPC for swirl removal.

Scratch-X is one that I have heard about before and it has some great reviews. It's not overly expensive either. Guess I'll have to give it a try, Thanks , Mike

I really like it, but I wouldn't want to do an entire car with it. Maybe a hood or roof. I mostly use it for isolated problem areas or places where I can't fit the PC.

Can't you fit the PC on the hood or roof? :nana:

I really need to pick up some Scratch-X!

Well, I do everything by hand so no problem there. I have some minor scratches on the doors and a couple on the rear fenders on my step side Tacoma. They are from briers and brush mostly and they are not very deep. It sure can't hurt to try this scratch -X anyway. I never liked PC or power buffers as we used to call them. They just create swirls and cause marring if not used right. Doing it by hand can take allot of time and sweat but it's worth it.
