The Dreaded Wheel Well...

If there is anything that I cannot stand more, is that wheel well (especially on SUVs). It is the one area on the car that no matter how hard I try I just cannot get it cleaned to my desires. I would rather do windows.

I am starting this thread to get people's input on this one. My process is spray with an APC (Super Cleaner - Full Strength) Let sit for 10 mins and scrub with a stiff brush, rise with pressure washer and then repeat. With my final prep being a couple squirts of Armor All (Reg Shine) on a towel and then wipe the wheel well.

I would like to try Adam's Undercarriage Spray product, so any input on that would be appreciated.

I clean and scrub my wheel wells well enough to get the majority of grime out. After that I use armorall tire foam to dress. It has some pretty good cleaners in it that clean what I miss. I once even used it on a dirty tire as the cleaner (I was experimenting), there was a lot of brown coming off.

I do they same - clean and scrub with Simple green and dress with F21 Tire Foam

Megs APC with a foaming sprayer, let it dwell rinse. Hit it with APC foam again and a grout sponge, rinse. I'm still looking for my favorite dressing. Meg's ASD works pretty good.

my wheel wells never really get that dirty, so using a sponge and APC/car wash soap gets them clean. i've been noticing the simple green APC in the aerosal version at walmart, and been wanting to try it, but haven't yet. this looks pretty interesting...

A couple of car techs that I know said that they tried this stuff and they just would rather stay with the original. They said that it did not do as well of a job.

if the wheels wells get real dirty, i'll spray some EO1 all wheel & tire cleaner in there and it really helps to dissolve the grime, etc...

maybe you should ask for some and try it out for yourself, then you'll know for sure...
