I have been left to come up with a logo for the new business. Basically the main part of the logo has to be there, in the color chosen, thats what the owner wants, thats what I have to work with. Basically I have to design around that. The main part is a red circle, inside the circle is an arrow pointing south, and an arrow pointing west. The name he came up with, again...not my idea is "Southwest Auto Spa & Detailing".

If anybody has a better idea for a name feel free to throw it out....PLEASE.

At any rate, I've whipped up two quick logos to start with. Please let me know what you think, or what you would change.

Of the two, I like the bottom one. I like the compass theme, but I don't know how to make it look any better.:nixweiss

My vote the lower example (it may be impossible but if you could get him to drop the word ‘spa’, it has connotations not related to auto detailing)

You think the font can be worked with? I'm on the fence about the logo and name altogether right now, so it's hard for me to look at it and like it anyways.

Thanks for the suggestions though, it definitely helps.

That may be something that is discussed. I didn't like the idea of that word in the name to begin with.

the bottom logo is much more readable and visual appeal!!!! i also enjoy the font you chose!!! i would just make it (font) a bit smaller in the name...

good work

I like the bottom one the best.

However, is the customer going to interpret it as S & W and not Southwest? Maybe have the Southwest arching across the top like the 1st one, but keep the logo of the 2nd one.

I like the "spa". It has a "rich" ring to it. It sounds very marketable. If your wife wants to be pampered, she goes to a spa. If you want your car pampered, take it to an auto spa.

I asked a friend to interpret the logo and if he just saw the logo w/o the name, it made him think of a construction company. Because it doesn't relate to his business.

Just my .02.

You're thinking more like this?

On the last version, can you manipulate "Southwest" so it matches the font below? I like the style but I think the mismatched fonts distract the eye. I love your SW logo. That could hang out alone on your polo shirts.

thinksnow is right....you shouldnt use more then 2 font styles...you have 3 because of the SW in the design....also the inclusion of the ampersand after SPA throws it off balance.

Put in between Auto spa

&

Detailing

you can meld it into the 2 lines to pretty it up....

Yes, that's what I was talking about. That last one you did looks WAY better than the previous ones.

I agree with thinksnow about the logo standing alone on a polo or even maybe a window sticker for customers.

To me, it would create conversation, along with the gleam of the finished product, of course.:D
