Small preview from my trip to the Great White North

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy
Getting off the plane and stepping into the tropical humidity of central Florida, I was finally able to erase the cackling laugh of Dr.X (Mr.X apparently changed his name).

Here a few pictures from the trip. I will be working hard, starting tomorrow, on getting the write-up done. I hope everybody had an excellent Thanksgiving!

Original paint LP-400 'Low Body' Countach. 1 of 14 made with magnesium wheels and suspension. The entire bodywork was built to make the car 400 lbs lighter and 1.5 inches shorter.

Original paint "Pebble Beach Preservation Class" winner AC Ace Bristol.

Mr.X changed his name to Dr. X, got a new mask, and likes driving his De Tomaso prototype..

Hope he's doing great and you too............Angelo

Angelo, the other one was an original paint 1967 427 Cobra, this one is a 1963 original paint AC Ace. The Ace became the Cobra, but they are book-ends of the same design. Dr.X owns the beginning (Ace) and the end (427 Cobra), both are 100% original and both are British Racing Green.

Welcome home Todd. Looks like you had an awesome trip. I can't wait to see the full write up on your adventure up North !!!

ok im still trying to find out who exactly dr.x/mr.x is ive done some research but ended up nowhere....is he in a business where theres a price for his scalp or something? lol i dunno why some people have to hide from the public their true identity when it comes to cars, its not like we know where the guy lives lol...im the type who needs to know everything for some odd reason if somethings a secret it drives me nuts because im trying to figure it out, like the hours of research about area 51....and other stuff lol..i dunno wish we could all know who he is not that it matters he just has some awesome cars...it would be like todd helme wearing a blue mask and calling him self detailer X on some rare care forums and nobody knows his true identity!....lol looks good though todd cant wait to see the full thread love seeing the mysterious mr/dr.x's cars.....

It's interesting the pedal box, shift knob, steering wheel, seats all seem to be from the same F3 parts bin as the Vallelunga... Well it did come right after.

Dr. X used to be very private about his car collection. He is just a down-to-Earth guy. He isn't very private anymore, in fact he does tours, asks for donations, and matches the donations to a local recovery unit that focuses on teenage addictions.

He has been in magazines and newspapers in order to raise the awareness of his cause. However, the play on Dr. X is based on his former private self. If you look in some of the other (previous) advantages, he is featured in some of the pics.

Great observation John! De Tomaso built two prototypes (1963 and 1964) prior to the Vallelunga. Dr. X owns both, here is the second (later), originally designed with a 2.0 Flat8 that Dr. X has recently acquired.
