semi interior detailing

So I just got a call today, a referral from one of my other customers, guy asked me if I do semi truck details. Having never even seen the inside of a semi, I was hesitant to take this one but I hate to turn away work and it'll be a good experience. He told me there is 4-5 he will want done and I can schedule them at my convenience. First one is this Saturday morning.

My question is. Does anyone have any experience with semi truck interior detailing and can provide some insight of what I'm getting myself into? I want to be as prepared as possible going into this and make sure I know I can budget my time accordingly to get them done. I made the mistake of not figuring out what kind of cab the trucks have so I'll find that out Saturday. The good news is that this first one he said does not have carpet, just has the rubber floor, which will help my time immensely.

Ive done a ton of them. They arent that bad, but there is a ton of area to cover, especially if they have sleepers. Excessive amounts of nicotine is common in them. Just be prepared to spend a few hours on it. Ive had plenty that took an entire day to do.

That's what I was worried about was time, my brushes for my DA will be of major use to me I think. I've only given myself about 5-6 hours for this first one. I hope that's enough. 6 hours is the most I've spent on an interior and that was a trashed minivan with all kinds of hidden compartments.

This is a case where I wish it wasn't a mobile job and I had my own place. Soon I hope!

Cleaning truck interiors is far easier than a trashed minivan IMO. Most of the surfaces can be simply sprayed down with apc and wiped up.

If you have an air compressor, it'll help blast through the compartments pretty quickly. Also, save the floor for last. Spray it down with apc and scrub with your da brush.

The worst semi I've done took like 4 hours
