Rupes Pads ?

OK.. I've decided to get the Rupes mini with the Rupes pads.
I was going to use my Poorboys polishes for now.
Or is it suggested to go Rupes system.

Will the softest pad be good for applying sealants too?
I was thinking 2 of each foam ⁴" for now. Or are there ones mostly used over others?

I also have the Rupes 15. Never used it yet since I'm in NJ. I planned on using my LC flat 5.5 pads with it.
I just want to be sure it's safe to use those, since Ron and another said the mini can spit out the non rupes pads.

Thanks for everyone's input.

You know I'm a pb fan, so pb polishes are fine. That said I did buy the rupes polishes and use them too. One of the reasons I got the polish is because it says what polish it is, and the cap on it corresponds to the color pad. Since I can't remember all the pad colors for different manufacturers, this was a very easy way for me to remember what pad/polish to use without having to run inside and hit the puter to see what's what

I personally only use the Rupes on the mini for paint, I find they just work better, period. If you have small pads save them for odd stuff like glass or even rim an metal polishing. Your most used pad will be green with the Rupes system and maybe blue an yellow here an there. I find I almost never use white and the same goes with microfiber on the mini.

The LC pads are definitely not "dangerous" but like any other tool when used improperly you could mess something up.

Thanks Trouble n Driver, that helps.
Order is in. I just wanted to get started so bought the Mini & some 4" LCs. In a few weeks I'll be asking about the Rupes polishing system and give that a try with Rupes pads.
I actually planned on polishing my Weber stainless grill with the Poorboys Chrome or Metal polish. Forgot about that.
Then late in the year I'll probably get that 21 or flex mini rotary.

I have used both the LC 3" pads and the Rupes mini pads on the 75e. I feel like I get better correction and balance with the Rupes pads. They are designed for that type of machine where the LC's aren't. I would go with the Rupes pads and any polish of your choice.

I agree, I mainly think it's due to the stiffness and the triangular shape of the pads. It really helps focus the pressure and gives a way better center of gravity for the pad to rotate.

GTR with carbon cleared, a simple quick single pass with the mini 75E + Rupes Green and 205. You'll find the mini has a lot more cut then you would initially think. It's quite impressive.
