Review: CG Silk Shine

Wow great review once again! You seem to love CG products! You picked up a ton!

Now you say you wipe off the dressing with a MF towel. Now are these towels dedicated for this type of use or do you mix and match with your other MF towels for wax/polish removal?

Thanks!

I have a ton of product from ALL manufacturers. CEE DOG has already written reviews on most of them, though - except for CG. ;) I do like CG, though.

On interiors, I use an all-purpose MF for the wipe down. Mostly because I have dozens of them. Silk and VRP are water-based so they clean up easily.

For tires, I use Viva paper towels. I'm just picking up excess and don't feel like washing extra MFs.

BTW - I also do my final wheel cleaning with waterless with Vivas for the same reason. I'm speaking after pressure washing with a WC and polishing/waxing to get rid off any last bit of dirt and waterspots. Also leaves a great finish and, surprisingly, offers a bit of protection from brake dust. Almost like waxing/sealing and lasts for a couple of weeks IME.

Just to pull the pin on a hand grenade early - Vivas pass the CD test.

Great review again! I prefer a more matte look on the interior, but this would be great for someone that liked a bit more shine.

The sun finally cooperated and I have a small update. Members wanted comparisons with 303 AP and PERL (straight). Here they are:

Wow, the 303 and the Perl look awfully close. The 303 actually looks like it left the finish the "most natural" of the three. It's slightly lighter than the Perl. The one thing I have gotten with the 303 is that it sometimes acts differently depending on what type of surface it is applied to. I have used it on most interiors and it looks great, and on a few I've used it and it produced a little unwanted shine.
