review : Armor all wheel protectant

I drive a BMW and the brake dust is horrendous. Something about the OEM pads, they just love to mess my wheels up. I heard about this product from another forum and I have to admit, it works for me. It is easy to use, and while previously stated that it does not last that long, it helps me out by not letting the dust settle in. I have tried wax and and other things(even the BMW wheel sealant=never again stealership). This product allows me to use a hose and wash away the mess. Before, I would have to spend roughly 5-8 mins per wheel. Not that long, but still way easier this way.

I agree it doesn't seem to last particularly long. But in your case of infamous German brake pads, it's a very decent product. Next best thing to ceramic brakes which when switching to something other than OEM, could possibly mean a difference in performance, etc. I find AA Wheel Protectant worthwhile--just spray a light coat and give it plenty of time to dry and cure.

well before i used to use only the Mothers polisher(a creamy paste). And that works/and gave shine too but i noticed that since i clean my car every week the brake dust that accumulates on rims was a lot. Ok.Then i heard of Armor all wheel prot. on youtube and after reading comments and video on youtube i gave it a shot and whalla!! now i have noticed that the brake dust now forms like more than a week..i would say like 2 week (same weather and road conditions). Not bad eh?....

Also for best result u have to make sure the wheel is clean (obviously) and DRY..and best to apply it and to leave it on for long time..so the longer you leave it on the better result u will get. I spray it and leave it on overnight..But i do not get any white residue tho.i dont know how yall gettting it ..hmmmm

Good review and thanks for sharing OP! :yourrock:bigups

Awesome Review!!! :autopia: thank you for your time and efforts! :yourrock

:D

Cheers!

I haven't tried it but try UTTG on rims... It will stand up to everything better than any product... this side of a coating. Apply thin, wait 20 minutes, buff off completely. Withstands 500 degrees F and dirt comes right off...if you decide to clean your tires with a wheel cleaner in a few weeks it won't strip the UTTG from the them. Very very durable.

For those using the AA product, spray in consistent, but more short and light strokes. If you go a little overkill on some areas, you can get the white residue. You can follow up if you feel you haven't thoroughly treated some areas of the wheel and if you do see some white residue, it wipes right off with a MF.

its been 2 weeks since i have washed my car..which usually never happens. I wash my car once a week. but this time i wanted to see if the products sprayed on wheels can hold the dust. And m glad to tell yall that it works!!!..the wheels are in perfect clean shape.there are some dust but its very light. I like this product!!
