I'm wanting to apply for a job and I need to prepare a resume. I haven't prepared a resume in years. Anyone have a good teplate or know the proper way to complete one?

Any suggestions are appreciated. This is for an office job (accounting office)

Rocket, resumes haven't changed much over the years. I'd keep it short and sweet, don't get wordy. Summarize how your education/experience meets their job requirements, no more, no less. The focused resume and application will get you in the door, the interview is where you'll get hired. Don't forget to give them references of people who will rave about you. And if they do a background check, be ready to explain any naughty behavior you may have done in the past, i.e., DUI. Hope you get the job good guy. Joe.

Thanks for the tip. My last resume was pretty short but it must have been on an old computer because I can't find it. With all the experience I've gained I hope it won't look so sad

I found those Saturday when I was working on mine. Also found that if I was connected to the Internet I could get them directly through word. I didn't realize that when I was first looking

Good luck on your new job/position appilcation! We will be routing for you!
