Rental Carpet Cleaner

The Rainmaker
While at a local drugstore, (that carries everything), I noticed a display of small carpet cleaners for rent. I didn't pay much attention other than notice they appeared to be fairly small.
Rug Doctor was the name on the display.
So, for the vehicles that you sometimes get that have really bad interiors, would renting one of these be a practical alternative to buying a high dollar unit that might not be used much?
:dunno

Some years ago I rented a Rug Doctor for the house, at the time I never gave thought to using it on the car, but it did a bang up job on the house. I have given that some thought to Charles, I'd bet that it would work really well. I can't remeber what the cost is but you could add that into the detail cost easly

ummm Charles, good point!

Our Publix rents them for $20 or $25 for the day. Add your cleaners that should last a few cars.

Sure does beat $1200!

Here is another idea--what about asking the manager to buy one of the units? If they are looking at upgrading, I wonder if they turn them back in (on lease) or what?

Shoot, I wonder what Rug Doctor wants for one?

go to your janitorial supply store if you have one near you. sometimes you can find used ones there. I got mine from the janitorial store for about 400 bucks and the following week later I got an external 1200 watt heater from there for about 200 and it works great. Just thought you would like to know.

did my ond 92 ranger w/one of those. did a very nice job.

go on ebay and type in rug doctor. they have some good prices on there. shipping will probably rape you, but its still a good deal.
