removing oxidation

Well, like the title says, how do yall remove oxidation on non-skid deck surfaces? I tried using polish on my pc but it doesn't really reach down between the non skid ridges on the deck surface. Thanks for the help!

Is this a boat deck?
 
non-skid deck could be anything coated with non-skid coating...patio, stairs, boat deck, etc. ;)



foam pads won't flex enough to reach in...i bet wool would be best for this type of surface. the boat experts can step in now and help out. :)
 
thanks paradigm, I guess I figured the marine section would be about boats. I appreciate the clarification though. Maybe wool would work.

Now, where are those boat experts paradigm was talking about hahaha. Thanks again.
 
Legacy, are you saying there is no way to remove oxidation from the deck? Also, if I tried to re-gelcoat the deck, wouldn't the pasty form of gel coat fill in the ridges of the non skid deck? Thanks for your help.
 
I do this on a weekly basis. I just use LC Avenger wool pads with a rotary and compound. It works great.

Yea you have to use a rotary with a ton of wool pads. (I can go through 10 pads easily on a boat detail of average size of less than 30') Use meguires oxidation remover. Very powerful product in a affordable range. A P/C or Foam pads of any kind just aren't going to cut it on gelcoats.
