Reccomended/most popular Tire Shine/Protectant?

I like Optimum Tire Shine a lot. It is water based, dirt cheap($20 a gallon), and gives a satiny sheen. IMO the look is very Z-16esque, and I get about a week on a non-garaged car driven alot, and about 2 weeks on a garaged car driven an average amount. Make sure to clean the tires well before hand, and wipe the tire down with a damp dressing applicator 2-4 times after the initial application to make sure the sheen is even, as this stuff absorbs into the tire quickly.

I rock Stoner's More Shine Less Time for Tires.

it's very durable and just the right shine. i buy it a few cans at a time b/c it's so hard to find it in the stores nowdays.. it's like it dropped off the shelves.

I only get about 3 days out of Stoners :nixweiss

I just use 303, that's all I've really tried since jumping into the obsessive detailing world. I'm not a fan of the super shiney stuff and 303 provides a nice matte finish.

Turtle Wax Platinum Series Tire Gel. I don't like sprays.

I prefer gel also. Though I use carlack 68 plastic care as a prep step for the gel.

Wolfgang BD, Sonus & Detailers Pride are my fav's

Sonus wins out though. DP is the weakest of all three but still very good

Once I do the prep step & 2 coats of sonus, the tires never go brown, grey or have dust accummulation.

Did 1200 km over the weekend and it's still like new.

Everyune should try mcguiars hot shine spray......Spray and walk away

Really, why?

I won't be because it attracts dust and burns off in the sunlight

Why should we?

IMO, this stuff is garbage. Slings all over the place, makes tires brown rather quickly, and doesn't last. Sorry for my rant, but honestly, the boutique water based products are just SOO much better.

I've had pretty good experience with Meguiar's Endurance Gel. It provides superb durability. The Mazda hasn't had dressing for around ~2 months, yet you can still see the remnants of tire dressing and a faint reflection when viewed at an angle. However, it does take a very very long time to apply. My tires have nice designs and everything so I need to use a toothbrush to get into those crevices.

I like this stuff, I spray it on the tire and work it in with my PC and the supplyed white pad,

lasts forever and looks great

I use gel-EXTENDED LIFE NEW LOOK TRIM & TIRE GEL from Chemical Guys, I've had good luck with it, a little goes a long ways. I get very little tire sling, if any at all.
