Pricing in the real world.

I can relate with The Fuzz in particular about just going to the gas station ( mine is also generally excellent) in close vicinity.

I concur that it's important to shop conscientiously, beware of false economy/not step over dollars to save pennies, and most significantly, appreciate great customer service with first priority going to those who demonstrate it most.

Different pricing can be good. Surely open competition is better than retailers coordinating to gouge customers. Just beware of that, and be sure to compare pricing. The Internet has been a very useful tool to avoid being had.

Prices differ store to store. Walmart has taken that practice to a science, with different prices per store even within the same city depending on nearby competition.

It is bizarre though, that you can buy a car at a lower price from a dealer who has to get the car from the dealer it's bidding against. You'd think there would be some additional costs involved.
