Pretty sweet display of electricity

I have spent more than 35 years in the electric utility field. High voltage electrical switching is what I did. One learns to respect the power of electricity.
That certainly is an effective display. I’ll share it with my colleagues.

The training dept showed all the new trainees this video at the beginning of class. Then we got all the "this one time..." stories.

Still though, it makes me kind of nervous operating components like that in our switch yard, especially in the rain! Just think that was a motor operated switch. Some of those disconnects have to be hand cranked.

I'll try to get some pics if it happens to me. The pic might be kind of fuzzy and hopefully from far away.
