I went with: Coating Thickness Gages
Haven't really used it enough to give you any feedback.
I got the 3550 because I find the probe-on-a-cable much more convenient, but others feel the exact opposite, so give some thought as to which is right for *you*.

Accumulator, do you have to use a different probe for ferrous and non-ferrous with that? Or do you just go from one panel to the next...does it auto adjust or do you have to tell it?

It automatically figures it out. There's only one probe.

How accurate is that meter? I heard on 6SpeedOnline forum that some people complained that it's scratching coating surface because of a cheap probe used on this device.
