Poorboy's World Detailing Weekend

Poorboy

Founder Poorboy's World
After numerous requests and talking with the owner of the Dealership we had our detailing day at last year, we have been invited back for an entire weekend.
Some people last year could not make it on a Saturday or on such short notice, so this year we will have it both Saturday and Sunday. The tenative dates are June 25th and 26th ...a week after Father's Day and a week before 4th of July.
We will be given access to both indoor and outdoor space and have a wash area too. Like last year, we will supply all the products you will need to detail with, but you will be responsible for bringing your own PC, Rotary , extention cords, pads, and other tools. Space may be limited so please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to come. Anyone coming in from out of town and would like some help finding a hotel, please let me know. :hippi

Steve,

I will probably be able to atend one of the day's!

My bigger question is Perhaps there will be some lessons as well (Maybe we can watch the Master mind behind Poorboy's due his thing)

and perhaps if Sean (GSRStiliz) atends he can give us a little introduction to rotary!

Just an Idea!

Alas, that's too far for me. I know I'd have a good time!

Charles :notpossib

Hey! This was my 200th post! :drunk

How it is formatted and what will go on, will depend on how many people are coming for each day and the goals of each person. Last year most people wanted to test products and work on their own car. Many of those people already know the products and have great looking cars that are in the state of constant detail. So we will see how the sign up goes:dunno

Here's a link for folks to map directions to Rockland Chevy-Buick (assume that's the location).

That's about a 200 mile jog from where I live in DE, but unless the wife objects or we have a family event planned that I forgot about, I'm in!!!!!

Steve, Can you recommend any hotels in the area?

I clicked on the map in the above URL, and it took me to upstate New York (near Syracuse). That's not where the dealership is. Try this address in Mapquest instead -

Rockland County Chevrolet Buick
51 S Route 9W
West Haverstraw, NY 10993

For other area attractions (including hotels), try this site -

I'm considering bringing a rental car that we can use to try out products & tools. I figured I'd pack the PC, Cyclo and Rotary. I better get the insurance in case we cook the paint

Looks like there are only 10 people signed up so far. Are all of you planning to go on both days or just for one day?

I checked my schedule to see I have a car show/swap meet that weekend that I already paid for a spot in.. Now I have to decide which one will work best for me. :(
