Hey everyone...

I have some Omega Hand Glaze, and I love it. I would like to try using it with the PC, but am a bit uneducated on how to do this. I was thinking I would use the gray pad, put what speed should I use? Also, should I let it haze up like SMR, or just do over it a few times? Thanks for the help! Car is looking great since I got the PC and used a little SMR!!

Brett:)

well if you are using hand glaze, then the product is made to go on by hand.

If you want to use the pc, you should get a machine glaze.

Apply the product to the pad on setting 2-3, work it all around the panel once you cover the panel with the product, speed the machine up to about 5 and work the product even more. once you see you covered the entire panel and the product is hazing stop the machine and us a MF and wipe the glaze off.

be sure you don't run dry on the panel.

I would use the OG glaze with the Pc and the foam finishing pad. The PC is just like a really fast hand.

I woulld keep the speed of the PC at 2-3 and go over the area several times. Unless you have a perfectly smooth and clean surface, apply a little bit of pressure and work the product into the paint, like rubbing lotion into the hands.

I find two applications is optmical, three is you have time, and 4 just going crazy. A glaze is something that is supposed to clean and polish the surface. Any more applications and its just wasted time and effort, better off using a wax.

One of the keys to appling glazes with a machine or by hand like is to apply them to a cool surface in the shade. Glazes contain high amount of oils (that is how they fill swirls) and the oil will streak easily if applied to a warm or hot surface.

Is there any product I should apply under a wax each time I decide to reapply souveran? Like another type of polish? Thanx for all of your wonderful tips!

How often do you plan on waxing?

If your car is outside 24/7, every 3rd time you wax use the glaze (wax once a month or every 3 weeks.) A glaze shouldn't have any abrasives and could be used often (every 6-8 weeks) without fear of harming the paint.

If your car was a garage queen then wax once a month with Souveran and glaze it every 3-4 months.

Jason

I wax the car about 2-3 times a month. I am also open to suggestions for another glaze product...Meguiars or something else. Thanx again.

If you wax 2-3 time a month, glaze it every 3rd or 4th time you wax.

Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze is probably the most similar to OG Omega Glaze, or it can be close to 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. Some find the 3M IHG finiky to work with, I used it on a silver BMW with no problems. I prefer Meguiars #7 to 3M IHG though. I never tried OG OG yet but if its performance is similar to Blitz it should be a great product.

Do you want to try the Foam Pad Machine Glaze reviewed here

I used it with a foam polishing pad, but it can be used with a foam finishing pad if you don't want any cleaning ability.

PM for details,

I am tempted to buy it whenever I see it at Autozone and some supermarkets in NJ (A and P in Old Bridge, Texas road.)

$4 for a tin is not bad, but since its a cleaner wax I might opt for the liquid bottles.

Its a cleaner wax, but there are much better products out there. Most of us here use a wax that does not clean (OG Blitz, Meguiars #26, Pinnacle Souveran/Paste Glaze, etc. etc.)

I think it is okay to use PC with omega glaze. I think on the Glaze bottle it says apply by hand or machine but just incase call one grand. I would use a low speed to put it on and i would let it sit on the surface just like if you were doing it by hand

Good luck

results should be good

I can't imagine Max not having a customer list of every major buyer in the world.

Perhaps this post was meant to rake in the small time buyer that may wander in and was unaware that CMA is now out of business. Even Richard, at Black Wow just found out!

Is Max also assuming CMA's debts??? Yes Mr. Gloss...I'm also here on TID, just not very active.

I do not think you will get a response here from Jack but my personal opinion would be no or not initially until the debt was reduced by the sell off. The key is how was the Black Fire line obtained that happened after the initial sale.

Thanks for the reply! :D Guess I have some more research to do.
