Optimum polish = no fillers, right?

Today, i mixed 70/30 op + htec.. not looking for perfection as i work on dealerships cars.. it turned out pretty nice, hologram free. So, none of the holograms will come back, right? I surely hope so or else i'll be in some trouble (redoing 4 cars over).

Optimum Polish is the most versatile, effective, and easy to use polish you will ever use! It can be used as a light compound, swirl mark remover, or a finishing polish, depending on your choice of buffing pad and speed of the buffer. It works quickly to remove (not hide) swirl marks, scratches, and other blemishes, while creating a perfect shine on all types of paint. It can be used with any type of buffing pad or buffing machine. Optimum Polish has excellent workability on painted surfaces and will not clog buffing pads. Aggressive enough for paint correction and swirl removal, yet the shine, clarity, and gloss of the paint left behind requires only final protection.

yea, but a lot of companys claim this and that but doesnt deliver..

It depends on pad, pressure, machine, time etc. But generally, yes it should be machine swirl free. The amount of HTEC you added is almost a non issue as the OP will lube it to death. Do an IPA wipe on an area or 2 and see the outcome. Op will hide defects for a little while, until all the 'oils' evaporate. With OP i do a few passes and check the surface for a little heat build up.

When we did a Prepsol wipedown, comparing two products (3M 50077 vs. OHC), it revealed nothing suspicious with the Optimum but the 3M side was filled to death.

The Trizac 3m polish in the US is for spot repairs and does have fillers. The 3M stuff you guys have is different from the US. I know all the part #'s and names are different.

Different names on same products is not so uncommon just have a look at Menzerna ;)

Must test the 50077 and do a prepsol wipe down. I have heard this guys contains a lots of fillers. Can´t understand why 3M would put fillers in a compound who is supposed to remove wetsanding marks

Your right about that and that is odd with the fillers in the compound. I know the US version of the Trizact is called spot finish compound for car that only need a quick touch up after wetsnding a blemish and you only buff the spot only for touch up without having to buff the whole area.

Yep, that's odd, but the illusion it creates is perfect. For a month.

Optimum and Scholl Concepts polishes and compounds don't fill in my experience, alongside Riwax's white paste, FK1's 17, 360.

I love CK Compound Moose and 1Z's Intensive Paste as well but I've never tested their filling abilities.
