When does the new optimum brand polish come out

Checked autogeek and they don't have it

Really looking forward to using it. Great to finally have a polish that you can also use as a light cut compound and swirl mark remover

It's out and It,s Great!

I didn't think any company would come out with a polish this perfect. I have searched for years.

I would suggest other rotary users try it. The body shop I do work for likes it better than the 3M.

Now all I need is one product for different pads.

I used to use different products with different pads.

Looks to be very well priced.

By the quart, it is comparible to Meguiars 80 series products.

I'm going to have to order a quart and play around with it some more. I ran out of the sample Anthony sent me.

That's what I was comparing it to. :)

Grab the March Deal. You get a whole lot! It has the polish along with a few gallons @ a great price.

I think one of the Aussie Importers AG Australia is is looking at it

It sounds good, Im keen to try it too ! I will try and find out for both of us

Oh yeah my good friends russell and nick from AG.

If I had the $1000 USD to get wholesale distributor pricing I would get a stack of optimum but that won't be until I get enough sales of my kits and other gear

I used Optimum Polish and the Car Wax over the weekend. I really liked it. It was very easy to use and produced very good results, even on my 98 Grand Prix's paint.

Scott P,

Did you use a PC with theOptimum Polish? How does it compare to other polishes you have used?

Cheers,

Not trying to hijack the thread.... I've tried Optimum polish with the cyclo and PC - both with good results.

A few observations that I've made after polishing 5 or so cars with Optimum:

-No dusting. Clean up is a breeze. This is a big deal to me, because dust clean up is a time consuming nuisance.

-Little or no hazing & micro-marring when using a cutting pad. I used an orange pad on the PC, set to 5.5, and produced a haze free finish on the hood of a black TL (and IMO the Acura paint will mar if you look at it wrong). I was really surprised that the polish removed defects and polished out so well with an orange cutting pad.

-It removes scratches & swirls very effectively.

-I've used Optimum along with other polish brands, with mixed results. For example.... Brand X SMR, followed by a pass of Optimum to clean up micro marring takes some work. In this situation, I like FPII a little better. Optimum as a stand alone polish (SMR & final polishing) works very well. As Scott said, the pad does the work.

I'm a big Menzerna fan (still am), but I like Optimum well enough to order it again. Optimum makes a very compelling case when you look at the product features, performance and cost.

If I had to compare Optimum to another product. I'd say it's similiar to using SSR2.5, followed up with SSR1, or IP followed with FPII.

I used a PC with an Edge Green Light Cutting pad and a Blue Polishing pad. I think it does an admirable job as a polish. I still am partial to the SSR Line, but this stuff does a great job.

Disclaimer - I do sell PB products, but my statement above is based on my honest opinion, not a sales pitch. I may also carry Optimum, but again, my statements are based on honest experience, not anything to drive sales.

On saturday Anthony O and I were working togeather instaling a Clear Bra. The guy has a Cadi. CTS V Black. While I was finishing up the the instal Anthony polished this Cadi. with a Cyclo using orange pads and the Optimum Polish. No maring at all.

Today I used the green pads and my Cyclo with the OPtimum on an 02 Grey Thaho. Great results.

I was amazed at how well Optimum Polish works with a Meguiars burgandy cutting pad and a PC on rock hard Audi paint. I was even more impressed how well it finished down, despite an aggressive pad.

It seems like a more aggressive vesion of #80.

I'll be doing a review of Optimum Polish very soon, with pics and on a few different cars......and girls modeling:D

It seems that every car I have been doing lately is silver!! I have a few black Porsches waiting in the wings but until that time here is another (Silver) Porsche Carrera GT I did by hand with Optimum Polish and the sealed with ShoKar.

Now that's a sweet car!

Anthony, have you experienced any micro-marring with Optimum? I've been getting some (very minor... for the picky eye)with orange pads on the cyclo. The green/white pads struggle a bit to remove it. Any tips? The more I use this polish the more I like it. It has a bit of a learning curve.

Newsflash guys. I ordered the March deal from Optimum on March 20th. Got an email today stating that they're out of stock and won't ship until the 29th of April.

They just emailed me with the mistake. A "typo" on the date.

All things are back to normal, and I should receive my products on time. Whew!:xyxthumbs

I have not goten any marring per say but everyones mileage may differ:)

What might be happening is the orange pad itself may be doing the marring. I did a black CTS the other day with only the orange pads and went straight to OCW afterwards. Ron and I were both amazed we could do that with no finishing down, meaning going to a finishing pad. So I don't believe it's the product but perhaps the pad....perhaps even a contaminated pad.

What can happen many times is that through the vibrations of the Cyclo it may dislodge grit entrapped in body panels, moldings, etc. and get caught up in the pads and then create havoc:eek:

What I do many times is use the Cyclo with orange pads and the OCP and THEN I'll finish with my rotary and a LC black or blue finishing pad at about 1000 rpm's If you have a rotary give that method a try:up

Anthony
