my black colored car now has 7000 miles. i am currently using blackfire 2 but want to switch to all pinnacle products. here is my plan, and please, any opinions or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

this will be all done by hand using mf towels from pakshak:

1. wash as usual using mother's wash i currently have

2. clay and dry the car

3. apply meguiar's #9 swirl remover (i have minor swirls)

4. apply pinnacle paintwork cleansing lotion

5. apply meguiar's #7 show car glaze

6. apply pinnacle souveran wax

7. finish off with pinnacle crystal mist qd

do any of these steps seem redundant? please let me know what you think, thanks.

I don't have the most experience, but I think the paint cleansing lotion may not do anything after #9. The rest seems good to me. I may suggest that after you clay, rinse the car wit water, and by body panel.

Yeah, I too think that's too many steps with too similar products. You don't need to do all that work, especially on a new car. What swirls you have are gonna be minor unless someone attacked the car with a rotary buffer and a wool pad.

After claying I suggest trying the #9 on a small area and evaluate results. If they look good then continue. You might want to experiment will all three products on small sections just to see how they'll work for you.

My guess is the #9 OR the PPCL will do all the polishing you will need. Skip the #7 and go right to the Souveran.

Doing all these steps just for the sake of doing them is a waste of time and product. Just use the products you need to get the results you want. On a new car this should be super easy to do.

Good luck and post some pics when you're done.

personally, i think your steps are good but you are missing one. i always wash the car again really quick after claying. i then dry the car with MF.

so i wash before and after claying. after the first time i wash, i don't dry (since claying requires a lot of water/lubrication).

pinnacle paintwork cleansing lotion did a great job at cleaning last time I used it but it seemed to haze the surface all so slightly. You may want to do this before #9.

It is worth it though as it does a great job at stains, waterspots, bird poop marks, etc.
