Most versatile setup

If you had to pick a setup, which would be more versatile/beneficial route to go?

a steamer that also serves a car wash such as Vaporchief 125PSI /vapor rhino 145psi with shop vac

Air compressor
Setup as air injection for car wash
Use tornador black for interior
Shop vac

Low pressure system such as mytee boss? For exterior with
KleenJet Mega 1000CVP for interior

nothinface5384- I can`t really choose one of your setups over the other (though I guess that between the two setups I`d get the air compressor set up as per Garry Dean`s system), but IMO if you don`t already have a compressor then that`s what I`d buy first. IMO every Autopian oughta have an air compressor. I`m starting to think the same way about pressure washers too, at least for those who do truly dirty vehicles. For that matter, I also think that every homeowner (not just every Autopian) oughta have an extractor or at least a shop vac (preferably both).

The concept of using steam for car washing just doesn`t resonate with me, any particular reason you`d want to do it that way?

FWIW, I use my compressor, pressure washer, and Tornador Black at every wash, but that`s just me.

It was one of my first idea prior to exploring the other 2 options

I`m really wanting to go with the Air injection route since I have a tornado black now
The velocity vac also intrigues me, but I know then I`d def need a generator to atleast power shop vac...or I could use customer electric and get a gas powered air compressor

The kleenjet mega1000cvp would stay well under 15 amps(13)
Won`t be using the mytee boss at same time so nothing will pop and could also get a small 1/2 to 1hp 2-6 gallon aircompressor to blow out seat tracks and other unReachable spots or pads
No need for generator, and all devices are light to menuver.. 60lbs or under

Sounds like you`re talking "mobile Pro", so I`d probably be about the *last* guy with any worthwhile advice :o

Naw, you always give off good advice
The 3rd option sounds more simple/convenient even if slightly better.. but considering price point, 2 is better option
Leaning towards gas power compressor

The steamer is a very good replacement for the air compressor. If you`re going to spring for the higher end units such as the 1000cvp, you don`t need a compressor. The machine puts out 105psi of steam pressure and will blow out most areas as god as if not better than just compressed air (I say most because a compressor still has its place).

As for going with the 1000cvp, I wouldn`t spring for it just yet. Honestly for the money, you would be better off grabbing a really good steamer, a generator and a heated extractor. I won`t say that the 1000cvp isn`t a amazing machine, but don`t expect it to replace something like an extractor for the really nasty carpeting. The biggest issue I have with it is that the vacuum hose/gun is just simply too big/bulky to comfortably use in an interior. I`m working on finding a solution for this but I have to find some way to attach a normal hose to it so I can use your typical attachments.

Skip the Mytee steamer btw. The tools and attachments are inferior to what you get with the Daimer unit or a good Dupray.

Also, if you are doing this for a business, spend the extra money and make sure you get a continuous refill machine if you go the steam route. You won`t realize how amazing that feature is until you have had a chance to use it after going without it for a couple years. Worth every penny

Im against air Imo. It`s great but requires many things, constant power, lots of noise, good size compressor, not cheap and limits you in mobile work. Everything`s going lithium, to me going air in this day an age is just shooting yourself in the foot if you plan on doing mobile at all. I`ve only done fixed location and never really found air to surpass the equipment I have... (Rupes, Metro, Scangrip, etc).

Yeah, I already have a decent steamer, got the Vaporchief 75psi, and yes I wished I splurged for the 100psi continuous fill model
My DP wet/dry shop vac does ok..
Once I decide on a compressor(prob gas powered), I`ll be comparing my steamer to my Tornador black
Then I`ll revisit with velocity vac attachment

I was just one of looking for simplicity vs every dedicated tool on the moon.
Thanks for the Insight guys

I`ll bite
What tasks have you assign each tool for?

The steamer mostly sits unused. I use it mainly to do pedals, primarily in the winter. Just don`t use it much, can`t come up with any reason at all to fire it up, probably use it in the house 95% of the time that I use it for anything (typical household-cleaning jobs).

I use the Tornador Black (filled with IUDJ mix) to do jambs, engine compartments, and areas where I need to "blast things clean" but can`t gain regular access (e.g., overlapping panels on the `93 Audi where nothing will fit in the gap).

Note that I`m not using *either* the steamer or the Tornador for things like floormats. I`ll do that every once in a while, but I honestly can`t remember when the last time was so it was.
