Ministry of Detail : 2006 Ford GT

Evening!

First of all, a bit THANK YOU to ShinySideUp for referring this customer to me. It was much appreciated!

Where to begin! This is a gorgeous 2006 Ford GT with just a bit over 6K miles on it. It's been kept in very good shape, with only very very minor swirling visible in full sun. The customer and I agreed on a full Zaino protection package, with subsequent layering to be done over time. I arrived at about 11:30am and left at 18:30pm.

The detail was challanging to say the least. There wasn't any good shade on the property, parked near trees that were shedding sap and dropping pollen everywhere and the hardest water EVER. The environment didn't make it easy on me!

The customer was absolutely fantastic. When I got there, he met me outside and he is obviously is very proud of his vehicle. Told me the ins and the outs of the GT, the history behind it, the fact that his is pushing around 700hp currenty and it's going in soon for a twin turbo conversion etc. I had a cooler full of drinks waiting for me and when lunch time came around, he even offered to throw a steak on the grille for me!!!

Anyways...

1) Vehicle foamed with CG Citrus Wash 'n Gloss

2) Washed with CG Citrus Wash 'n Gloss with two all white ShMITTs (two bucket)

3) Dried with two Sonus Der Wunder towels

4) Zaino Z1

5) Zaino Z5

6) Zaino Z2

- P21S Wheel Gel on wheels, detailed with P21S sponge and Swissvax brush

- Wheels detailed with CG Pro Detailer

- Stoners IG on all glass

- PB Natural Look on tires

- Inside was very clean, just a quick going over with 1Z Cockpit Premium

- All plastic on the outside done with 1Z Cockpit Premium

Awesome car and awesome work!! I finally saw one on the road this weekend on my way home from a Ford show. Have seen plenty at shows and such, but never just out cruising. What a work of art.

Nice job on such an exotic vehicle, P1et!! I am not much of a car buff but after researching this vehicle jsut a little bit I did not realize just how far out of reach a vehicle like this is to mere mortals such as I.

Bye the way your truck is gleamering off in the background as well.

A real jewell. Take good care of that one! Nice work - glad to see the owner takes pride in this classic re-issue.

When they came out with the new Ford GT, the biggest dealer in our area got: one. People were literally stuffing checks through the mail slot in the door after hours the night before the car was too arrive. So the dealer, always keen to a new idea to make a buck or two over sticker, held an auction. You had to demonstrate cash resources in excess of $200K to bid, so I heard. The car ended up going to a buyer in England for an undisclosed price. Personally, I felt the dealer should have at least confined the auction to Americans - it being a FORD and all. But, there is now a global market for high-end cars. At least it did not end up in Dubai, covered with sand in a dusty warehouse somewhere. :D

wow amzing just for the fact the paint was perfect great job

do u like1z cockpit better than 303?

Thanks! The owner takes great care of the vehicle and the minor minor swirling that was left was taken care of by the Z5.

I have 303 but find that it's a lot more finicky to use than Cockpit Premium. I love the 1Z, I use it for all plastics. I even did the insides of the wheel wells with Cockpit Premium, came out lookin great!
