Melt away brake dust

Here is a pic of an alloy wheel that was contaminated with brake dust and tar. See the top half of the wheel (the before) and the lower half? (After). I used a new product that literally melted the tar and brake dust from the wheels. It is a solvent based solution of Limonene and surfactants (emulsifiers)The nice part is it is non-petroleum base, and not caustic. This product is concentrated and needs to be mixed with water to activate it. Ratio of 4/1 part water. its made by Ardex. Gary Perfectautofinish.com

Looks good, how did you apply it? Was there any scrubbing involved at all.

This stuff should only be mixed as you need it, has a shelf life of 3 weeks when activated with water. I just sprayed it on, and used a small detail brush and scrubbed it clean.

Looks like it would be good on those horrible BBS style wheels on the Infiniti J30s.

Would some Dawn soap/water mixture do just the same? That's what I use and it looks to do just the same as what you've posted.
