Meguiars M105 Ultra Cut Compound vs. Menzerna FG400 Fast Gloss Compound

This will be my first post on the forum although i joined awhile back :). I've seen a couple showcase threads on the FG400 and it looked promising so i decided to pull the trigger and try it out. Although I'm new at detailing (sort of), FG400 seemed really easy to use and gave me outstanding results on my sister's old black Avalon as a test car.
I should've took some 50/50 but even a single 3x3 pass resulted in 90% of the swirls gone and gave it a nice glossy finish. I didn't experience marring at all besides one or two panels overall but it looks like i might pick up M105 soon as it does seem like the go to cutting compound.
 
Todd, enjoyed your great comparison article. Look forward to reading your additional comparisons of these 2 products on different paints. I am new to this and don't have any powered tools but articles like this help to understand the art and using different tools and techniques. Thanks!

First of all, great testing Todd...

And yes, in german detailing shops foam pads/wool pads are much more common than microfiber.
In addition lots of detailers over here seem to prefer harder foam pads even with the finishing polishes like sf4000 (probably due to hard paints used by german car companies), which was also measured and verified by and at Menzerna with BYK-Gardner gloss measurement instruments in a test done by detailers of the german detailing forum Autopflegeforum.eu.
 
This has to be the most thorough product test and comparison I've ever had the pleasure in reading.

I tried it out last weekend in a black Hyundai Elantra and was shocked at its working time and especially how it finished up! :bigups

If you get the time, I would be very interested in m101 vs fg400 :)

Considering that m101 is (imo of course) a better version of m105, and fg400 is the latest offering from menzerna, I think that that would be an awesome comparison.

They are priced very similarly to so that's another thing they have in common in addition to finishing much better than any compound ought to.
