Looking to buy a chamois for drying

I already have waffle weave and ultra soft MF towels but I still see water spots and unable to have a completely fine looking dry car. Am I doing anything wrong while drying? Currently I do drying in 2 steps.. I use MF towels in step 1. and then use waffle weave in step 2. but still not able to get the car to a completely dry condition. There are always tiny water spots sitting.

What he said :2thumbs:

A ww will suck up the water on a waxed/sealed surface without leaving anything behind.

before drying, try taking the hose and use the flood method and that will eliminate a majority of the water. when drying, no need to rush and wipe quickly, let the towels absorb the water. use the waffle weave on the first pass, then follow up with the microfiber towel for the second (if needed) pass. if you don't have any protection on the vehicle, the water tends to drag and is harder to wipe off, as opposed to having some which will make drying easier...

and if you have any tiny water spots left... use a quick detailer, it will add shine and protection.

We use Water Sprites at work! Micro Fibre and Waffel Weave are great for drying cars, but when they get wet you have to get another one. We dont have a large supply of mf towels, or a way to wash and dry them. We use Water Sprites because you simply wet and use , and rinse often . We may do 50 cars a day.

Then I doubt a chamois will solve the problem, as that was my primary gripe back when I was using them. IME chamois (both natural and synthetic) *always* leave a fair amount of water behind.

For that matter, so do most plush MFs I've used. And WWs do tend to become less effective in this regard over time/use.

Sounds like rejuvenating/replacing your current MF drying towels is in order.

Huh, my Water Sprite left the same tiny bit of residual water that my other such drying media always left behind  Not much, but some...it *was* a bit better than my Water Bandit.

Water Sprites are good for quantity but not quality... but probably the best chamois you can buy... still wouldn't use one on my car though. lol

Sounds to me like you need more WWs... or different ones... not all WWs were created equal... I have found the best ones ever, but its a secret what it is. haha!
