Hi everyone; nothing super exciting in this update. A full detail on a beat up RX300, a quick polish on an SL600, G35, and a stang and a 928 interior detail. Here goes.

1998 Lexus RX300. Pretty bad swirling, a couple re-painted areas with a lot of overspray, some deep scratches from use, and a long one on the side from a toll booth, a big ol' random scuff on the rear bumper, you get the idea. Interior was typical of a 7 year old car that sees heavy use.

Process:

Wash with ONR

clay

Wetsand passenger side doors/read fender (two long deep scratches), and rear hatch, and rear bumper scuff.

Menzerna PG/RMG, orange pad, rotary 1500rpm

Menzerna IP/RMG grey pad, rotary 1400 rpm

PO106FF/grey via PC.

Poorboys EX-P

Eagle one to clean the wheels and tires, 303 to dress all the goodies.

A lot of woolite/water on the interior, leather got pristine clean and rejuv oil.

right panel polished, left not...

Wheel Sealant

Lots of exhaust tip polishing

Porsche 928; same owner as the SL and RX, exterior is in need of a polish but he's selling it so he's unsure if he wants it done. Interior was in ok shape, needed a good shampoo and a ton of rejuv oil on the leather.

'01 Mustang. Same owner as the Maranello I did the other day. This one needed more exterior work than I gave it, but that's what they wanted...

Opt Compound/Polish 50:50 via PC

Clearkote RMG

Clearkote Carnauba

Poorboys Trim Restore x 11billion on the trim

Interior was really bad, it's better now, no pics because I suck.

Next week: NSX, Maranello 575, Continental GT, Maserati 90th aniv spyder.

Very impressive work on the RX300--you really made it look new again! :bigups

You made that G35 gorgeous, too.!

Your clients should be very happy.

Exciting or not, your work is stunning...period.

Too bad about that Ford trim...it is absolutely horrendous.

Thanks guys.

Yes, the trim was really bad. It was more faded than any car I've done that was made in the past 5-years. The rubber gaskets around the windows were also cracking and beyond repair. In the pics I was in the process of *another* round of trim restore. I'd say realistically that I did 10 passes with it; the trim just kept sucking it up. Finally I stopped getting results so I dressed it with some natural look and called it a day.

I totally wanted to detail the exterior of the 928, only because the outside is really swirled up. I will see if I can talk him into it. :)

Thanks guys. Looks like I will be doing the exterior of that 928 when I do his bike. Yay! I almost want to buy it off him, he's selling it for a bargain price.
