Just tried the 3D/HD DA Polisher....

Whoa! This is the most powerful DA I've used. On speed 4 with a MF pad, I used a lot of pressure, and the pad kept rotating very swiftly! The higher speeds will obviously be even more powerful! The 3D polisher does vibrate somewhat. Not too bad, though. One problem, though, with the polisher on, the damn on/off button switches to off on its own. It doesn't seem to lock in there. If this keeps up, I'll exchange it. All in all, you want performance, pick up one of these for sure!!!!

By the way, for those that know me, this is Mark(07 z-oh-6). New handle is my new '12 Camaro SS.

Are we talking more vibrating than the GG6, or less? Is the button switch just loose, so the vibrating moves it around? or are you accidentally rubbing against it because of it's placement?

Well, when I switched to a foam pad, the vibration was greatly reduced. I'd say the GG and this polisher vibrate about the same, overall. Doesn't bother me, though. I wasn't rubbing the switch, I think it's because of the vibration. However, I just used it for a few more minutes and it seemed to lock in place ok.

Jeez, can't hold on to a car very long can you? Shows you how observant I've been lately, and I haven't been on AGO in months so I know nothing of what's happening over there.

Doesn't speak well for quality.

I didn't even bother trying speed 6. The 3D polisher does vibrate somewhat. While that may be an issue to some, I couldn't care less! I think you'll say it is more powerful than all of them. My FIRST(second generation) GG DA is powerful as well, but I think this one beats it out. I'm curious to know your thoughts, Gary.

Did you use it with the HD Speed or Polish? If so what did ya think or them?

I tried it with HD polish and an HD polishing pad. Didn't give me the cut I needed. I tried it with an Optimum MF cutting disc and M101= beautiful!

Did you use it on the Camaro? That's some pretty tough paint!

Yep. First tried D300 with good results, but M101 worked better. I should have tried M105 first! I just did a test spot, though. I'm following with HD polish/polishing pad.

Nice! So.....What is your official position on the HD polisher & Polish?

And, has this switch problem been resolved?

Thanks for the report Mark! Keep them coming! I would be interested in the vibration comparison. Vibration (the lack of it) is very important to me.
