I am sure there already was a thread like this, but how often do you wash your car/truck/suv? By washing I meen, busting out the bucket, mit, and soap.



Me.... 2 times a week. It also depends on if it rains or not. I will wash after every time it rains.
 
When they're dirty enough that they truly need it, which is never more than once a week and usually not even close to that often.



I went through a phase when I washed my driver a lot (as in, almost daily when commuting in the winter). Now I look back and think "what a waste of my time". Ditto for the years when I would wash the Jag after almost every time I drove it :rolleyes:
 
I try to wash about once every 1-2 weeks. Because I have multiple cars to take care of and I do the cars all on different days, some of the neighbors that go for their daily evening stroll probably think that's all I ever do.

once a week, and spot treatments when needed.
 
So once to three times a week looks to be the range... I'm a twice a week man, although I do the rims every other day.... I hate the brake dust dull look, it's so last season LOL

yeah, it always seems like the same people/neighbors that always drive by and notice that i am always washing too (won't even mention when i use the foam gun and leaf blower)... :rofl
 
Once a week usually. Unless it is particularly clean, then I just do a QD and wait another week. That hasn't happened in a while though, it's bug city here the past couple months. I can't drive a mile without getting something smushed on my windshield and front bumper.
 
General Rule: I wash the first time I have a day off with good weather after it has been rained on.



Exception #1: After a road trip even if it hasn't been rained on.



Exception #2: Before taking it to the dealership for service because they will run it through their car wash if it is the sightest bit dirty. Even if I tell them not to wash it, the guy doing the service doesn't always read the instructions and then I have to get mad at them.



Exception #3: I'll wash it sometimes even if it hasn't rained just for my mental health.
 
Daily drivers: Only when they start to show dirt. Not that they are clean but only when the dirt starts to distract from the shine and glow.



Z06 - once or twice a year. Garaged and only driven about 500-700 miles a year, if that much, and never on even a foggy/dewy morning or pollen season.
 
Generally, I wash it once a week. However, since the car is only a weekend/nice weather toy, and garaged the rest of the time, that usually equates to drive one day, wash the next. ;)



If it's not too dirty, I'll let it go two drives before washing it, but usually no more than that. For example, this past weekend I drove it for an hour or two on Saturday, and then since it wasn't bad I took it out for about 4 hours on Sunday, and put off the wash until Tuesday after work.



Honestly, it's not so much that it gets dirty but that bugs show up quite noticeably (at least to me) on white.
