How often do you wax?

once every two-three weeks depending on the elements and if ive been parking in direct sunlight or not

Well, I dunno if I really *like* to wax at all :p

But seriously, it depends on the wax and the vehicle but I don't do it very often. I seldom do it until some characteristic that I value starts to drop off. Two examples:

I waxed the daily-driver Blazer last Sept. and put another coat of 476S on it in late May. I'll probably put some more on it before winter but it sure doesn't need it yet.

Last waxed my wife's daily driver with #16 in early June and I redid the bumpercovers last week (those always need it first :nixweiss ).

Might be because we park inside, might be the gentle washes, who knows....but my LSPs seem to last a very, very long time.

Usually whenever I am not happy with the look, or if the protection is not sufficient anymore, all dependent on the previous wax applied of course.

That's funny cause I'm the same as above. Usually w/ 26 it's about a month before I notice a big drop in the look and re-apply.

I rarely have the time to wash let alone wax my car. I try to get in two coats of Collinite 476 or 845 every six months. I do wash the cars just about every weekend. I apply rain-x every month. I use FK 425 every third wash to spiff up the shine. But I have 4 kids at home so I try spend most of my time with them. My cars seem to do just fine with weekly washs and semi-yearly waxing. And if I had the extra time I probably would be out on the tennis court or golf course instead of waxing the car.:chuckle:

I use a qd after every wash and apply some type of dedicated LSP once a month

I thought the QD was used for inbetween washes? Atleast that is what it says on my bottle, and on the Commercial. I could be wrong and probably am.

Is LSP, Last Step Product???

Other than bird bombs, the only time *I* use them is after washes...a little added lubricity when drying and a tiny extra bit of sacrificial layer on top of my LSP.

...[speaking of which]..Is LSP, Last Step Product???

Yeah, just another way to say "wax or sealant".
