Hi dear auto-people!

I registered here and then realized it was an American forum:)

Hope it will not be a big problem for me.

I just got a Mazda 2 (black color) and loads of "How to" questions keep coming to my mind.

The most important one (just don't laugh!) - when I wash my car can I use warm water or it should only be cold? As a girl I think warm would be better but maybe I'm wrong? Please help!

I will be waiting for your response:)

Welcome to Autopia, kalinka89!

Yeah, it can be tough for people who normally speak English, but I think you'll be OK. ;)

Warm water is fine. But don't use hot water. Spraying hot water on a cold windshield (windscreen for you Brits) can cause it to crack.

Oh thank you for the reply! The reason why I said that (feeling bad now:)) because the names of the products you mentioned here I never heard before.

:welcome: to Autopia kalinnka89 American-English takes some getting used too but I'll translate it for you if necessary ;)

Depends on the product. Some might not be available on your side of the pond.

Others are available, but not at the places your typical consumer (or even many an avid motoring enthusiast) goes to buy car care products. Sometimes you have to go to a specialty retailer or internet dealer.

The important thing is that the techniques we talk about generally apply to any manufacturer's similar products.

Oh, and congrats on the new Mazda 2.

I got one for a rental while on vacation (translation: hired one on holiday :) ) a while back, loved it.
