Has anybody use Meguiar's Last Touch?

Haven't read much about it here (although the product Last Touch replaced was frequently mentioned). It sure is economical, if you buy it by the gallon though.

I personally don't like the heavy coconut smell, gets on your hands and stays, even after washing. The LT is also very greasy, so if you get overspray on your windows or anything, it needs to be cleaned off or it looks streaky. Of course the upside of the greasiness is that it leaves the paint slick.

I had nearly the same experience as Sertec Astronomy until I noticed that the LT spray bottle that came with it stated to dilute it 50:50 with water and since doing so I now think it works great . I use it on windows with no ill effects too. I preferred the smell of Final Detail but the coconut smell is not too bad.

At the 50:50 mix you are really getting 2 gallons for around $18.00 so it really is a great deal.

According to the LT container, the 1:1 dilution is when using it as a clay lube. Of course that makes no sense to me, I would think that you would want it less diluted if you were using it as a lube. I'll have to try it diluted as a QD and see if it works out better for me.

Thats weird, I use it all the time on my outside windows and i get no streaks at all. It's also my everyday qd and loves the way it makes the paint slick and brings back the depth of the paint. I've had more streaks with the older formula (Final Detail) than I do with Last Touch. I'll try it dilluted and see if it works better.

I don't think I've ever used a QD where I didn't have to wipe off the overspray from glass, already done panels, etc.

I like Last Touch. It is ever so slightly better than Final Detail in gloss, though it is more streak-prone. It's not too difficult to use, but you do have to be more careful than with a lot of other QD's. It's nice stuff. I think overall I'd prefer Final Detail due to it being more user-friendly, but they are both nice products, especially for the cost.

Soon as I can find a good deal and low shipping I am going to order a gal now that I have a US addy I can use.
