Collinite VS. #16 VS. other heavy carnaubas?

:o I'm looking to apply something that beads well and is durable to put over the EX-P. So, no cleaners. Any recommendations? I want BEADS!!! EX-P has no beading whatsoever. :(

I would go with #16.

Wolfgang has a ton of beads.

As far as carnauba's, #16 as far as I know has crazy beading action as well as S100/P21S.

the Collinite IW will give you a boat-load of beading but it seems to be high in solvent content; it may conflict with your EX-P.

You might want to consider Natty's wax or Blitz over the EX-P.

I did EX topped w/Natty's last year and that yielded a butt-load* of beading...beading that never quit. It was quite amazing.

*butt-load>boat load ! :p

Beads you say? You want beads?

Although a lover and user of #16 (the latest Autopian fad) I would highly suggest Collinite 476s Super Doublecoat Auto Wax.

It will last longer than #16, provide INSANE beading action and has no solvents.

Tom P recommends Insulator Wax. I too love that, but given it's solvent content you're better off with the 476s.

You will NOT be disapointed.

But #16's availability makes it that much more convincing. :o If I *have* to order, then I will order the collinite 476 :)

Will you ordering #16 through the Internet?

If so, same with the Collinite :D

Order it here http://www.autofanatics.com/carcarecorner1.html

Collinite page: http://www.autofanatics.com/collinite1.html

If you see, first time orders get a discount of 10% by filling this out: http://order.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/wg-request-catalog?autofanatics1

Their Zymol is on sale too.

Take a look. I like these guys. They are nice nd you get individualized e-mails about your order. :xyxthumbs

Zymol is a zymol does.....I think I can find #16 around here somewhere, probably. If not, then I'll get the collinite if i must order. :)

You won't go wrong with either the #16 or the Collinite. Between the two, I think the #16 looks better, but the Collinite 476S *beads* a little better for me.

Check the Collinite Website and see if they have a distributor in your area.

My vote goes to Mother's Natural Carnauba Paste Wax, but all the other waxes recommended in this thread are excellent too. The way its can is shaped is perfect for applying with my cyclo. In fact, the can is so wide and flat, I think the 6.5" pads will also fit.

You mean it doesn't look good on its own? Oh no.

Maybe I'm going to just do the Liquid Souveran thing i've been doing with blackfire. :o

It does not look "Autopian" on its own.

But then again, what really does?!

Guru reports gave a nice write up on the Collinite

I have collinite Grand Marque #915 on my girlfriends Honda Civic..I have 2 coats of Ex..and topped with 2 coats of 915...Has a great shine...been on for months and still looks the same..and as far as beading...Great...the water just rolls off..and when driving its like blow drying the car..even in the rain..water just rolls off..only down fall is..if put on to thick..a bear to get off..

just do a few panels at a time and remove...plus find some shade makes it a bit easier...so car is cool...all in all its a very durable and good shining wax....
