Chemical Guys Jetseal WOW

Looks amazing! I just got some Jetseal in the mail today, along with some "One", and Wet Mirror-Finish glaze.

It's raining pretty much every day here in New Orleans, so I'm just waiting for a clear day to try these babies out!!

The description of jetSEAL 109 sounds like its going to be an unbelievable product for both looks AND durability. From looking at your car, I think the look is definitely true, so all that's left is to see what kind of durability we get out of it. Keep us posted.

I just put some Souveran on it, I am going to put OS next, then WMF as LSP. So my durability measures may not be the same as yours. However, I have heard from Orngz that JS is some durable stuff.

I couldnt how my car looked with just the JS.:woot:

ONE is awesome!!! Did you buy it by the gallon!?!?

Paul from CG said it was all natural, he even proved it by taking a swig of it. hahah:nervous2:

What exactly is Jetseal??? Is this something similar to Zaino Clear Seal and OptiSeal? I looked on the CG website but didn't see it.

Its a sealant/glaze used under LSP. OS is used over LSP I think.

PM Orngz, he has some JS for sale, I dont know why JS is not listed on the CG site.

It retails for about $40 for 16oz, but Im sure Orngz will hook you up!

I think you could safely say that it's something along the lines of Zaino CS or Optimum's OS. jetSEAL109 isn't online because it just came out, and CG's hasn't updated their website yet. The same goes for "One" and "Wet Mirror-Finish" which is available from CG's, but you have to call them to order these products.

Here is the description of jetSEAL109 straight off the bottle:

"jetSEAL109 is a unique anti-corrosion sealant developed to provide the finest protection available for paint, fiberglass, aluminum, chrome, alloy metals, and other substrates. Developed exclusively for the aerospace industry, jetSEAL109 was developed to provide the ultimate protection from the harshest environmental elements. jetSEAL109 is now available for automobiles in the same nano-tech ultra durable consistency. jetSEAL109 bonds with the exterior of your auto giving it a mirror-like wet finish that is virtually impenetrable. jetSEAL109 is not a wax, polish, or Teflon. jetSEAL109 is an organically modified Sealant bonded with an acrylic crystalline at a nano-tech scale allowing it to bond to paint molecularly delivering a durable, glass-like shield."

interested in both ONE and Jetseal...ONE seems to be sold under SMARTWAX, but couldn't find Jetseal...

SMARTWAX is their consumer line. For the professional line product, just give them a call.

All of that sounds really cool except have you really thought about how each of these products are going to react with each other? You may want to consider only using one or two of them, instead of all of them.

Here's what I mean. You already have jetseal on it. That right there is supposed to be the "end all" lsp in terms of both looks and protection. So, just that single product is *supposed* to be the lsp.

Let's just say that you threw Souveran on there for kicks, no biggie, but what did you just do to the "mirror-like shine"? There is a possibility that you just dulled it down by adding a wax on top of such an optically clear finish. Granted, there is a chance that you added a little depth or even a bit more wet look, but most likely lost a little reflectivity.

Now, after Souveran you mentioned wanting to put a layer of OS on. I assume you mean Optiseal? Is this correct? If so, Optiseal is basically just like jetseal, which puts you right back where you were when you started. Aside from the fact that it may not bond very well on top of a carnauba.

Last on your list is Wet Mirror-Finish. Well, this is a one step glaze type product, so this is actually going to strip a good bit of all of these built up layers you just put on because of the cleaners and solvents in it, and then put a finish of its own on top.

All of this said, if you layer all of these products, you will most likely just end up with what Wet Mirror-Finish could have provided all by itself since its the last product on the list.

Something to think about before you do it.

If you are referring to my post about his possible detailing process, please don't. I didn't mean it like that at all. I was just pointing out that he would be doing too much, and when it comes to automotive detailing, less is always better. :2thumbs:
