Buying the flex

I am about to make the purchase. Where has everyone been buying the flex. Also, is there only one model, or do they offer others?
 
The Flex Tool XC 3401 VR is the one everyone has been purchasing. Its a random orbital with forced rotation.



I bought mine from Detailers Domain and Phil over there was great and has great pricing.



Others have bought theirs from Powerhouse.
 
The Powerhouse guys offer a Flex bag to go with it, I have not seen that on other sites. It's just something to consider and they have a good rep for customer service.
 
I bought my Flex from AG. I 've had it for a little over a month. From what I've been reading they are still on back order. I think there is a list for everyone who sells or stocks them. It's a very HOT item! :buffing: Good Luck!
 
I wonder if the people at Flex realize the popularity of that buffer is directly related to this and other detailing forums?

Yes, I believe they do. Back when I first tracked mine down through Powerhouse Distributing in September, I had some discussions with the guys up there and sent them some links to this site tracking the Flex. They mentioned to me that the president of Flex NA (or might have been another high-ranking guy with Flex) actually lives in Omaha, NE, where Powerhouse is located. Powerhouse has been in regular contact with Flex NA in South Carolina. And have been keeping a very close eye on quality control and relaying back to Flex NA and Flex in Germany. This is all from what I gather from my discussion with Powerhouse. I thought I saw a post somewhere stating that Autogeek has been in contact with Flex in Germany as well regarding the supply line for these.
 
I purchased my 3401 from Powerhouse about a month ago and absolutly love it. Not only is the tool amazing, but those guys there were great to work with. I went to get another one about a week ago and ran into the same problems as you. They also assured me that there will be more soon and to order it through their website or by calling. If you have any suggestions on a cheaper place or want to know where powerhouse is or their website, message me. Thanks
 
And if I believe i saw right, PH is also the place for parts. Flex's site says they are their national service center or something?
 
Detailed Image is getting some more in February. They offer a $10 discount for pre-orders. And as far as I know Powerhouse is the only place to get the Flex bag.
